Thanks @rugboyYes, Year 12. He will also be back for Round 1.
Should be good to watch. I like the way he plays. Fast, dynamic running style. Eyes up football at its finest.

Got to feel for Ignatius, been talking to some old acquaintance from the UK and hear that the incredible First VIII seems to have entered into HRR for this year. Best of luck to them as they take on the test of the champion from both myself and the wider AAGPS community, but you would assume this has not helped their Rugby prospects for this year.
Thanks old mate. Nice to hear from you again. Stay wellcorrection Joker - Joeys played Nudgee (won 26-6), Terrace (lost 7-16) and BSHS (won 16-0) in 4 days. The 2nds won 38-0, 33-7 and 22-0 against the same 3.
I believe this is the one and only time Joeys have played Nudgee, which is an abiding mystery . There have been other QLD tours where Joeys played Downlands and Ashgrove.
Definitely a hit to depth but that’s a decent pack still coming out with enough returning experience to expect strong performances.Got to feel for Ignatius, been talking to some old acquaintance from the UK and hear that the incredible First VIII seems to have entered into HRR for this year. That’s good. Doctor won’t let me out if is wet. Mind you I’ve been known to scamper when they don’t watch. Years of sneaking around Joeys after dark dodging Marist Brothers taught me well.and the sun is meant to be out tomorrow.

For anyone who was asking, this is all I have as of right now.
To add to this in 1982 Joeys had not played Waverley for many years due to... some unpleasantness...so there was a bit of extra sting in the GPS v CAS match that year. Joeys and Waverley both provided 10 players for the respective 1st XVs making it a defacto SJC v WC game. Oddly enough, Joker, you and I were both there that day at Chatswood Oval. Early doors Rob Renete got opened up at the bottom of the ruck from a little indiscriminate stamping and it was on.The rivalry was huge in the 1970's. Joeys were the dominate team in the AAGPS and Waverley were very strong as well. When they played, the games were remembered for violence on field and off. I myself was knockout with a coward punch in a line out. The brawl that followed was enormous I was told as my brothers forgot about me and went after anything yellow and blue. In the junior grades there were send offs and many a kid ending up badly injured. The Waverley lads dished it out but the Marists gave as good as they got. Eventually in 1980 Joeys made there one and only QLD tour winning all three games against Terrace, Nudgee and Brisbane Boys. They would have played Waverley but missed this as they were away. Joeys never played them again for many years. By then the nasty had diminished somewhat. Should be a good game. I will be there!

But Ned, let your memory take you back to the GPS v CAS game of 1981 when a very high tackle took out Peter Tonkin. He was taken off heavily concussed and sat on the sideline wondering where that truck came from. On reflecting on that game, Mr Tonkin confided in me over a schooner at the Imperial Hotel, Armidale that it was again one of the most violent games ever. Tonkin also claimed that Colin Scotts (who by now had forgiven Tonkin somewhat) was actually scared to go to ground with the ball due to rucking being handed out. The Waverley participation in that CAS team was again high. This game he added was only matched when he played the All Blacks for NSW country when they toured. He claims he still has nightmares of Buc Shelford chasing him around Scully Park.To add to this in 1982 Joeys had not played Waverley for many years due to... some unpleasantness...so there was a bit of extra sting in the GPS v CAS match that year.
