I find the comparisons between the Crusaders & Storm Troopers a bit over the top to be honest.

A lot of the Storm Troopers were taken by force and brainwashed. They didn’t choose to be the bad guys and as the Star Wars franchise went on it became evident some of them were still decent people caught up in a horrible regime.

Don’t see any such mitigation or glimmers of humanity amongst the Red & Black brigade.

You have a family inside word or something?

(Can't find any mention online....)

I bloody hope not though
Brisbane rumour mill, from a mate who apparently heard it direct this morning. No more details than that unfortunately, but I imagine there won't be anything public until team naming on Wednesday (maybe an earlier press leak on Tuesday).

Here's to hoping it all games by Les to get inside Penney's mind and lull the Crusaders into a false sense of security.

When do they announced which Ref is doing which game?

Ben O'Qweef to get his cantab boys home

Angus "Don't Say" Mabey to make a few howler calls and botch a big game

James "I'm On The" Doleman and his ruck free-for-alls.

Angus Gardiner loudly coaching both teams non-stop in every aspect of rugby football for the entire 80 minutes.

ffs Nic Berry seems to be the only ref who doesnt drive everyone around the bend.

Seems like there is some hope Harry will play (though I wouldn't hold my breath):

McLaughlin-Phillips likely out, but Ryan still a chance. Uru also could be back, which would be timely if Harry is ruled out.

HMP out? Lynagh to go 80? I guess Campbell could double up to 10, or maybe Flook. Possible opportunity for a 6/2 bench? That might give more cover to Wilson if he needs cover.

I thought last match out was the first time I really saw something suggesting that Campbell could be a second playmaker which is great because his explosivity seems to be on the wane. Crusadists in their little enclave is going to be tougher though.

Yeah, I expect Campbell will be the cover given they've generally avoided using Gibbs this year. Not sure it will be 6-2 unless Wilson and Uru are there though - I'd rather we had Pakeho and Ryan/Murray on the bench than Vest.

Really good opportunity for Lynagh to show he's ready for test matches.

I don't think he started an away game against a "good" team all year, so there's a bit of a question mark there.

From the teams in the finals, he has started against the Brumbies, Hurricanes and Blues; missed the Crusaders(HIA) and Chiefs(rest).

Didnt start against the Brumbies, Drua, Crusaders and Chiefs away though. Not his fault. Like I said, this week is a great opportunity

We joke about JOC (James O'Connor) slotting a penalty to sink us but a Hollywood ending would be Murray going over in the 79th minute to give us the win.

All of NZ should be behind the Reds.

I wonder what could have been with Campbell if he had got time at 10, quite a few years ago he played there in a trial but I think he got injured so never got a shot.

I really like his involvement this year.
