Wallabies 2025

Mark Panga

Bob McCowan (2)
Passes from Rugbypass (I hate that the usual sources don't include that one)
* Donaldson 237
* Lolesio 175
* Lynagh 145
These stats are not reliable for a comparison as Donaldson has played more games due to Lynagh and Lolesio missing games through injury. A % stat is better - but admittedly hard to do that with passes.

Useful stats. Tommy has had a good kicking year. Would be interesting to see JOC (James O'Connor)'s kicking stats too.

So, Tahs and Force players to be named in the Wallabies squad?

I know that the initial squads will be very bloated, so lots of guys will be included for depth cover but, for me, the guys who will probably make the Final Cut looks something like -
Tahs - Bell, Gleeson, Gordon, Jorgenson, Sua’ali’i & Kellaway. I also think they’ll take Tupou but I won’t be shocked if they don’t.
Force - Williams, Tizzano, White, Donaldson, Potter. Almost certainly BPA (but has missed a lot of footy this year). Probably Robertson. I think Swain is also a decent crack and Stewart may get there. Champion De Crispigny won’t be far off I feel but with guys like Uru & Hooper all having been in good form he might have to rely on a few injuries to get through.

Anyone obvious I’ve missed?

I think most of those will be named, in case of injury to the more favoured players who are still in the competition. Wouldn't look good to be leaving players out and having to bring them in later because someone goes down in the finals series. I don't expect most to make the final squad.

Agree - initial naming will be broad. So my post is probably premature in that respect. Probably even a few extra guys like Lancaster, Foketi. Maybe even a guy like Wilson to give him a taste.

Pietsch is likely as well. Schmidt clearly liked him through last year and when talking wider squad... Wonder how refined it will get as you want the Test side to get as much time together as possible for this and the Super Rugby sides deserve the chance to train together even though they have spent all year together.

As was Nawaqanitwase for a few years. But big, fast wingers aren’t in huge supply. The initial squad will be pretty broad I assume.
