Front row - Kings and View should dominate, New members out
Second row - reasonable depth across the schools, no clear stand outs. Likely find some backrowers like Fonua end up here - though I rate him as an 8.
Back row - depends on what shape they're after. Plenty of talent. Be surprised if Justice and Lemoto not selected but their standout minutes have been limited. Dempsey close
9 - Grover
10 - 15. Will be interesting what they do with the leaguies. I like the New 10,14, 15 but think only 14 will be considered due to league commitments? Ditto not sure about the Large brothers.
Will be an open field in the backs, no clear standouts apart from those above. I imagine the usual incumbency and reputation biases will have a role to play as well.

Edit- note some very high quality backs have spent little to no time on the park.

New 10 is a rugby boy (king). Most of the rest of backline are league I suspect at this stage. Except for 14 who is with Aussie 7s junior program. And the 9 is also rugby

I prefer TKS #10. He outperformed New's 10 when they played. Not being biased but I think Taylor is a better 10 with a higher rugby IQ.

I wouldn’t say a moment, I’d say they got blown out the water by view.

everyone is quick to underestimate view but they should be clear favourites. Kings backs only had their first solid full game yesterday and when times get tough who knows what could happen.

View imo at the swamp should be able to beat kings and almost secure the premiership as hard as it is to say. Any updates on when Risati is back for King ?
Hi RnB,

Talen was out of his boot on the weekend, running in the coming weeks, targeting to be ready for the start of Term 3.

Not sure he’s there yet. Got a great forward pack in front of him. Looked a bit clueless against View and I thought New game management and kicking was excellent ( in the Kings games) but couldn’t go with the forwards.

good to see kings get the win saw sawyer was back how'd he go, toai the 6 is an animal good to see him play some tough footy. kings vs view rd 7 will be massive.
Thought Sawyer performed well but was overshadowed by the dominance of the TKS pack. Can definitely see him making a push for a top GPS team.

Probably. Joe Hockey is not an alumnus, however, but his old boss was.

Unsure of the veracity of the claim, but the ground announcer yesterday called 20 Riverview Wallabies and 50 for St Josephs, noting that was the most of any school in the country.
Pretty sure St Joseph's College Gregory Terrace up in Brisbane has the 2nd most of all time behind Joey's

Will Taylor kings 10 is only year 11, most likely won’t crack GPS 1s side with the fact they ussaly give year 12s the nod in that situation.

think view 10 probably deserves it at this stage with him winning that battle on the day at the white.

I’d like someone a bit quicker than those three hulks to balance the support play.
They go quite quick. You often see Justice and Heinz sitting in the backs. They are all athletic and not chubby forwards. However, if speed is an issue I still think that the speed you may lose by having them in the squad does not equate to the gain of size, power and sheer dominance they could bring.

Biggest ref stitch up I've seen in a while by that bloke yesterday. My goodness.

New had an awful first half but my word....... <Bites tongue>
Have heard a lot of controversy around the last Scots try to win, does anyone have sufficient evidence?
Here we go... Scots win and there's gotta be something wrong with it, can anyone be happy they fought their backsides off and won an absolute ripper as complete underdogs against the competition heavyweights?? 1 person tipped for them in the tipping comp, not even I did. Complete 100-1. Imagine Scots won the prem, can't imagine the excuses they would get.

Ben Wright (Yr 10) up against the country's best back in Heamasi, and he did very well. Jock Sides (#6) did extremely well too, he just has no fear, he's a smokey for high GPS teams at either #2, back row or 2nd row, he can go anywhere. The country tikka from #4, #6, #7 especially, are just too good.

If only Scots played like that every week, against Joeys especially the defence was out the window.

There's a great website that ranked it worldwide, for AUS it goes: (as of last year)

1. Joeys Hunters Hill
2. Nudgee
3. TSS
4. Scots (scots and kings very close)
5. Kings
6. Brisbane State High
7. Gregory Terrace
8. Anglican Church Grammar
9. Newington
10. Waverley
11. Marist College, Ashgrove
12. Brisbane Grammar
13. Sydney Grammar
14. Riverview

No Shore on this list and Riverview so low...
