Was it just my mate who said the crowd numbers at the game looked down. Fence looks pretty. Nice idea for the winter season.

Hard fought game
Closer than the scoreboard implied.
Standouts
Newington: No. 5, H. Lapham I believe is his name, a strong player, tough to drop him from the 2s but showed great grit to continue the grind. No. 6 and Captain, De Hennin, looked strong, putting his body on the line. True leadership
Scots: No. 1, a big man, looked unstoppable with the ball in his hand, hard to bring down. A fast player for his size.

There is a process under rugby Australia Diciplinary Rules that allows a citing of a player by a club or union at all levels of Australian domestic rugby so I would think school boy rugby is bound by that procedure if someone was prepared to cite a player.

Given that AAGPS doesn’t follow RA Judiciary Rules, I doubt that the Citing Rules apply.

Also credit to the Shore supporters yesterday, tunneling and cheering for the High 1st XV.

Good touch by High then tunneling out the Shore 2nd XV.

Credit to High, they were very competitive and I don't think the scoreline reflected that.

Hopefully a sign of good things to come.

The same ref also awarded a weak AF Shore scrum a bunch of penalties as they were being physically demolished, including for, get this, Riverview pushing too much.

Quite correct. Under 19 laws stipulate the scrum can move only 1.5m, any further and the pushing side cops a penalty.

U19 law variation stipulates that the sanction for pushing beyond 1.5m is a Free-Kick and not a Penalty.

Here we go... Scots win and there's gotta be something wrong with it, can anyone be happy they fought their backsides off and won an absolute ripper as complete underdogs against the competition heavyweights?? 1 person tipped for them in the tipping comp, not even I did. Complete 100-1. Imagine Scots won the prem, can't imagine the excuses they would get.

Ben Wright (Yr 10) up against the country's best back in Heamasi, and he did very well. Jock Sides (#6) did extremely well too, he just has no fear, he's a smokey for high GPS teams at either #2, back row or 2nd row, he can go anywhere. The country tikka from #4, #6, #7 especially, are just too good.

If only Scots played like that every week, against Joeys especially the defence was out the window.

Goal kicking needs work...Atrocious!
