Queensland Reds 2026

Mods - is there a reason that we are still wearing the trolling sock puppets? It's starting to make G&GR something I'm no longer enjoying.
I've found the Ignore function helpful for reducing annoyance—out of sight, out of mind. If the responses suggest that the content you have ignored might be worth looking at, it's easy enough to see it.

FFS, I'm getting sick of this crap.
Any further posts about the fucking zoom call will incur sanctions.
The trolling is puerile - ignore them.
Stop asking about it and stop responding to it.
100% on board with not interacting with these four smurfs and it is annoying me that the conversation is continuing but can I ask what the rationale to not booting them is? I think it’s clear that there’s no good faith on their behalf when I read their posts in full.

I can appreciate that banning them is treating a symptom and not a cause, I suppose.

Sick of all this trolling rubbish too. Not quite Reds 2026 relevant, but to change topic whats everyones thoughts on team to play Lions. Believe its announced Thursday.

Pretty sure this was the backlime that traimed yesterday, just having a guess at forwards.

1 JTA (Jeffery Toomaga-Allen)
2 ASIATA
3 DE LUITIS
4 SMITH
5 CANHAM
6 URU
7 BRYANT
8 BRIAL
9 THOMAS
10 HMP
11 RYAN
12 HENRY
13 FLOOK
14 ANDERSON
15 CAMPBELL

Heard theyre hopeful Dre might be fit to play, but probably from bench if he is

I believe Salakaia-Loto is good to go, I expect he'll start with Canham if he is.

We should hopefully be getting a few players released from the wallabies squad - there was some talk of Faessler, outside that maybe Nonggorr, Lynagh and Paisami/Daugunu but it'll depend a bit on the direction Joe wants to go in against Fiji.

Also expect we'll see the same 6-2 bench, with 4 locks in the 23 setup we saw a couple of games this year, with Wright/McReight/Wilson unavailable we get a lot more from using our full crop of locks than the next set of backrowers.

It'd be great to see Henry out there

Genuine question, NuggetBox — what exactly are you trying to achieve by posting from multiple accounts/pseudonyms?

Is it that you felt your original take didn’t get enough attention, so you created backups to agree with yourself? Or is this just a roundabout way to troll because you’re a devout Tahs fan and hate QLD? Or is there some other angle I’m missing here?

You‘re clearly passionate about rugby to go to all this effort and time, and I’d be happy to start fresh if you stop using multiple accounts @Nuggetyflyhalf @Box_Kick_ @Coleman Rees @Wallaby Ways
Ffs. I’m not associated with what has been happening in here, look at my post history…

I initially thought De Lutis was a smoky for a Lions test or two. We are crueled by injury at times. I guess long term we want him firing from 27 and beyond.

Massimo is still busted I would imagine. A wrist dislocation will take months to rebuild.
I think you're right. I heard it was 3 months out for him. It's a pity but he's probably young enough that he'll be still playing the next time the Lions come !
Hoping that Alex Hodgman and George Blake are fit - so maybe it will be LH props 1/17 Hodgman/Blake hooker 2/16 Asiata/Nasser and TH props 3/18 JTA (Jeffery Toomaga-Allen) and Trevor King. Can't think it would be wise for Joe to release any of the hookers or LH or TH props just before Fiji game. He's got three of each in the squad - and he needs two each game. Wouldn't be good to run them out against the lions on Wednesday - and then have to back it up on Saturday if anyone is injured.

Blake is fit; he played Hospital Cup last Saturday. He should go to LHP. Hooker should just be Asiata and Nasser, who aren't in the squad. Wonder when Faes is due back.
I reckon Nongoor and JTA (Jeffery Toomaga-Allen) as the THP's. Or they could go Bloomfield and King if they want to give some experience. Big step up though.
Yeah, Henry coming straight into the midfield is a no brainer. I saw Goldsbrough was on the social media doing shoulder presses so he's elbow must be close. Probably needs to time in Hospital Cup though.

Not confirmed but i heard from a Reds player, Frankie was tracking really well with elbow, month or 2 ahead of shedule, but pulled a hamstring doing conditioning training with Reds last week

Not entirely correct though. You still get the notification of posts, albeit the post is yellowed out with "you are ignoring content from this member" and you pick up the quoted posts. And when you dive in to check things out then you need to scroll through page after page of dross, but can miss things if you skip it. My key statement, noting that yesI am making judicious use of the ignore function, is that I am loosing enjoyment here.

Doubt I'm on my own.

apols Cyclo, I'll leave it now.

All we can do is continue to stay on topic and support our admins, they decide what is and is not acceptable. They all have our full support.

This is probably as good a side as Queensland can put out. Huge opportunity for Bryant and Brial to put a marker down for 2026. I guess any of these guys who stand up against the touring Lions are a chance of higher honours later in the year with the extended Spring Tour kicking off with the huge warm up game against Eddie Jones’ Japan.

You’d think so but I swear I saw something recently saying he’s a chance to be fit for this match.
He's doing an event out at Quilpie with Liam Wright at 10am the day after, so it's pretty unlikely he'll play.

Social media had him in gym lifting weights, elbow seems almost good to go, might be short of a gallop though.

Will McCulloch is the other one who missed the entire season through injury but is back fit now.

I agree - Too big a step I think - both Bloomfeld and King probably need some more time in Super Rugby before the Lions. Wonder if Aiden Ross will feature ?
