Wallabies 2025

We have literally already released test players for the Force and have not made any allusions to suggest we will do any different later AFAIK. Seems like a beat up from their organisation.

Poms doing what they do best, having a good old fashioned whinge.

If they're demanding that all wallabies are available then they should be playing full strength teams as well.
Hypocrisy as is usual from there.

Best & Less selling some cheap, official merch for anyone looking for a deal on supporters kit:

It's a supporters jersey rather than the actual strip, but $40 for a jersey ($30 for kids) is an insanely good deal.

This is a surprise - is it 2005 again?

That is awesome but availability looks to be about nought already
I'm still seeing unrestricted availability for almost all sizes - only XS adults jersey running low, size 9 gone for kids things, everything else fine.

I believe these only just went up so they might be updating stock levels on the fly.

I’ll keep tabs. Might be my local store only.

I hope with Fez being released for the Reds v Lions game it just means they want him to get some extra match fitness and he's still aiming for that first Wallabies test.
Schmidt basically said as much when they picked the initial squad I think. Neither Pollard or Porecki have a heap of time under Schmidt either, so it makes sense to get a bit more into them to be prepared.

Do we read anything into the release of Faessler beyond the fact that both Porecki and Faessler both need game time?

Faessler obviously won't play against Fiji but you would have thought he was first choice if fully healthy. I wonder how Porecki and Pollard fit in with that.

From the 36 player squad, four were released for the Force game and two for the Reds so essentially we need to cut 5 players from the remaining 28.

One of Nonggorr, Ala'alatoa and Tupou
Two of Tizzano, Gleeson, Valetini, Wilson, McReight, Hooper
One of Lolesio, Donaldson, Lynagh
One of Toole, Potter, Kellaway, Daugunu

Yeah, Schmidt made a point after the squad announcement that Fez, unlike LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and BPA, had been an integral member of the team and was very much in the frame for the Wallabies which is why he was being selected despite coming off injury and that would be released for the Reds game to get some match fitness...

Which could obviously also happen against Fiji but then either Porecki or Pollard gets no game time.

Hooker seems like one of the most open selection decisions (which would probably be less so if Faessler and Porecki hadn't both missed so much time).
