Sounds like Faessler was set to play ahead of Pollard until a calf twinge ruled him out, and Porecki is a late scratching with BPA called up:

Wow, I wasn't thinking about that gulf in caps. Makes me even more indignant at how much the home nations are carrying on like pork chops at how much they beat us byThat's another pretty solid team. Farrell isn't mucking around. A couple of Lions players heading home without a test it seems.
Just for perspective on the experience gulf, I think this team has an average of about 58 test caps and age of around ~29.1yrs vs. our Wallabies squad with and average of about 27 test caps and age of ~26.7yrs. Take Slipper (and even Whitey) out and those numbers really dip though.
There's just a lot of experience and learnings our boys still need to have and only 30 or so tests until the next RWC.
Comical how this shit keeps happening.Sounds like Faessler was set to play ahead of Pollard until a calf twinge ruled him out, and Porecki is a late scratching with BPA called up:

With the amount of significant training injuries we have had over the past few years, it certainly begs that question. It is too high a number to just be bad luck.Comical how this shit keeps happening.
Honestly, we are either really unlucky or don’t know how to prepare these lads for games.
Fuck why does this shit always happen to usSounds like Faessler was set to play ahead of Pollard until a calf twinge ruled him out, and Porecki is a late scratching with BPA called up:

It's not like the Lions haven't had their share of injuries.Comical how this shit keeps happening.

How does it compare to others would point to if it's unusual or not. All Blacks have had their share of injuries too. With the amount of significant training injuries we have had over the past few years, it certainly begs that question. It is too high a number to just be bad luck.
Yeah, I'm firing off an opinion without all the facts. Lions have had their injuries but in the tour, it feels like they haven't been as significant (Perhaps the depth negating that feeling). Tuipulotu feels like the only one that's occurred on the training paddock? But if anyone has some examples/incidents then quite happy to hear them. Pollock maybe (but he's green). It's not like the Lions haven't had their share of injuries.

Lots of possible context to what players might be carrying already and upcoming games which mean calls might be made with that in mind. Better to get players back when truly fit than to break some now and have them sidelined for a long period. We also need to move for this mentality that only our best 15 can win. Need depth if we're going to make much of a showing at the next RWC.
This caution might be the result of the review into all of those Achilles ruptures where they kept playing people with minor injuriesWe don’t know the actual severity of some of these injuries.
But things being reported as not playing due to tightness or a twinge gives the impression that we keep putting blokes on ice for future games and we lose momentum. You wonder how many of these blokes are happy to lace up the boots but the medical staff are too cautious.
Yes true - and it does seem to be the 100kg+ blokes they’re sitting out in these instances. I’m not sure there is direct science proving this but the bigger the body, the higher the risk of the rupture. This caution might be the result of the review into all of those Achilles ruptures where they kept playing people with minor injuries
I think we can acknowledge what is reported might not always be the complete story. We don’t know the actual severity of some of these injuries.

We are seeing it happen more and more in the NBA.
Gained 3, but lost 1, and gave up 2 penalties.McReight got three turnovers in game 1, pretty decent form slump if you ask me.
True - I thought he should have been the starting hooker coming in to the seriesOn the plus side, will be good to see Pollard get a start. Has the tools to be the best of the lot
