In the last 10 years Vikings Rugby have been in 7 of the BentSpoke Brewing Co John I Dent Cup Grand Finals.

Saturday will be Uni-Norths Owls first-ever John I Dent Cup Grand Final since the Universities and Northern Suburbs merged in 2001.
While the women’s side have reached their fifth Grand Final in the last six years.

Pretty good actually considering the raiders were playing. Couldn’t tell you numbers though but would estimate 2.5 to 3k. Owls conceded a try at the death but conversion wasn’t taken as ”the parliament” stormed the field. Absolute scenes :D.

Out of interest- with the 2 unis plus others feeding the owls, I’m surprised they haven’t won more? Or do they tend to win lower grade gfs more?

Only really for colts. They fell in the semi’s. Problem with having students is they tend to head out of town during holiday periods. We made the finals weekend in 1sts, womens 15’s and 3rds. Made semis for all other grades. Club’s been rebuilding for a while. Great culture at the club. Saw the Lord floating around. He was a very happy man.
