Not as quick these days. If 2025 has taught me anything, it is that I need to be vigilant with the hammer.
Some things have slipped through. If I miss it then @Lindommer will usually pick it up.
My view is that the Aus Under 18 is simply a team to allow club/state scouts to view the cattle (prospects) in action.
Been to enough cattle sales to see this for what it is. Why have the Aus Schoolboys as well. Cheapens the selection.
Why not call it "Australian Schoolboys who were not good enough for Under 18"
Aus Schoolboys was for decades the pinnacle for schoolboy rugby. Now we have so many rep teams across many age groups.

I think RA also has a plan that they will select players from the French sides for Aus 20s. Maintain the relationship and mooch their system. Some may come back, but with the relaxing of the Giteau Law they could be captured from France depending on who Aus declare as the 2nd national side. If I was Waugh I'd be tempted to make the 20s a capture side for the next 2-3 years then revert back to Aus A.

Interesting. Again not saying he’s a bad player I just truly didn’t notice him. In a team such as that there’s plenty of other eye catching players.
