Wallabies v Italy - 9 November

Wallaby supporters would be a bit disappointed with that. My impression is the players aren't desperate enough? They do a lot of their moves behind the advantage line it seems, and in breakdown although a few good turnovers, just look to passive most of times.
Perhaps they getting tired as season ends?

Carter Gordon was the only positive for me of the match. Great return. Quad injury not good. Tane not a patch on Carter. Directionless when game was still there to win. Congratulations to an Italian side that deserved their win. Australia should have won and now are down 2-0 in the last two encounters with the Azzurri.

Tired? Get serious. They should have come out determined to win this. Our attack is ordinary. Now Ireland and France. Gee whiz.

I have generally been a fan of Schmidt but he needs to take some heat for Donaldson not being in squad. Only positive from this game was how the attack looked when Carter Gordon was on the pitch. Unfortunately looks as if he will be out for remaining matches meaning JOC (James O'Connor) has to play. Edmed is simply not up to it.

Noticeably good players are looking poor. Wilson’s worse game. Kellaway just below standard. Gordon’s options are bad. JAS looks borderline disinterested.

the whole team are a step or two behind the opposition. Thank god for Fraser.

lord Laurie can go now too.

It is tough to be a Wallaby fan…even with that performance there is still that glimmer of hope with a backline being led by C. Gordon and what he will be able to unleash for Sua'ali'i, Ikitau, Wright, Jorgensen and perhaps Nawaqanitawase and Petaia. Les Kiss needs to take captaincy away from Wilson. For me the back row is our strength and currently there are better players and he seems to keep his place due to leadership. Captaincy should be with McReight or Ikitau the only two certain starters.

If you look at the second half when the WBs picked up the ball looked like they ran throught the 2015 All Blacks defence, against defenders like Brodie Retallick, Richie McCaw, Jerome Kaino or Owen Franks. It seemed impossible to break through that defence. Does Italy have the best defence in the world, or does Australia have the worst attack? I think it's a bit of both.

Feel like Schmidt must have moments back in the hotel room where he looks how many days he has left.
