    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

My son played from 6 years of age up until the end of school, with a break for a couple of years in his early teens. I'd do the same today. In that time, I only saw a very small number of concussions across the games he played, maybe 3 or so, and none serious (all players, my son didn't suffer...

    Wallabies 2023

I only caught some of the presser, but I found it interesting that Eddie indicated that the make-up of the coaching team would be defined by what the players need. Seems inverted from the normal approach of securing the best coaches available in the normal categories of forwards, backs, defence...

    Waratahs 2023

It'd be ironic if we replaced one schoolboy prodigy with another. Max J is good, but he'll need to be spectacular for the Tahs to take the risk over the available options.

    Wallabies 2023

True, but Eddie likes to play 4D chess in everything, probably letting Dan stew for a few days before making contact. He's obviously been pretty active even before officially starting work yesterday.

    Sevens 2022/23 (World Series etc)

I momentarily thought the pool was part of the fan village as I walked out there. But not at that cost.

    Sevens 2022/23 (World Series etc)

I'd love to know how the players manage the heat after games - I saw a couple of the US women's players wearing ice vests during warm-up - I thought they'd all be using those. Presumably ice baths after the game.

    Australian Rugby / Rugby Australia

They’ve used the training ground outside the SFS in previous years, but it’s a bad look to have the gold medal, World series, and World Cup-winning Australian women’s side playing games on a training paddock.

    Sevens 2022/23 (World Series etc)

I was there yesterday, good weather for Sevens with cloud cover and a breeze, must be brutal today. As you mentioned in the other thread Adam, good vibe, plenty of fun, crowds probably didn't show up well on TV since they were all on the camera side of the ground. I see the match reports from...

    Waratahs 2023

He looks fit - great story in the SMH from G Rob about him: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-union/i-m-proud-i-didn-t-give-up-how-nadolo-clawed-his-way-to-a-second-shot-with-the-waratahs-20221219-p5c7gv.html

    RWC Tickets/Fan Experience

Yeah, I'm in the site and there's a few tickets available for Wallabies-Wales, but errors when trying to buy them, very frustrating.

    Waratahs 2023

If you're not excited about the season at this stage - either as player or fan - then you'd have to be pretty cold. Of course everyone's enthusiastic, I'm sure that's the case in every team.

    Wallabies 2023

I reckon Rugby Australia's figuring that salary is $4.5M over three years, not five - if we get more than three years out of Eddie, it'll be a bonus.

    Wallabies 2023

How many Which first tier nations aren't a shit show? NZ - spent much of 2022 pretending that Foster was a good choice. Sth Af - Rassie. England - sacked Eddie 9 mo before a RWC, despite Eddie being all about RWCs. Ireland - they seem to administer well, but what's the Post-Sexton future? And...

    Oz Super Rugby Team Stats

Freeze and slowly zoom in on Reg's face. Voiceover: "It was not a little project..."

    Waratahs 2023

That's all true BH, but you need to give some Shute Shield supporters space for their grudge against the Tahs, it's important to their identity.

    where’s the announcement for this?

    Super Rugby Pacific 2023

Some good quality whinging here, but I certainly enjoyed the Tahs-Crusaders game this year.

    Waratahs 2023

Beale was playing 12 most of the time in France recently, as I understand.

But Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) is better in the air.
