My son played from 6 years of age up until the end of school, with a break for a couple of years in his early teens. I'd do the same today. In that time, I only saw a very small number of concussions across the games he played, maybe 3 or so, and none serious (all players, my son didn't suffer...
I only caught some of the presser, but I found it interesting that Eddie indicated that the make-up of the coaching team would be defined by what the players need. Seems inverted from the normal approach of securing the best coaches available in the normal categories of forwards, backs, defence...
It'd be ironic if we replaced one schoolboy prodigy with another. Max J is good, but he'll need to be spectacular for the Tahs to take the risk over the available options.
True, but Eddie likes to play 4D chess in everything, probably letting Dan stew for a few days before making contact. He's obviously been pretty active even before officially starting work yesterday.

I see the match reports from...

If you're not excited about the season at this stage - either as player or fan - then you'd have to be pretty cold. Of course everyone's enthusiastic, I'm sure that's the case in every team.

Which first tier nations aren't a shit show?
NZ - spent much of 2022 pretending that Foster was a good choice.
Sth Af - Rassie.
England - sacked Eddie 9 mo before a RWC, despite Eddie being all about RWCs.
Ireland - they seem to administer well, but what's the Post-Sexton future? And...
