you really think the “ghost who walks” is werchon dad?
I know if my son was playing rugby and exploring for new club I certainly wouldn’t be writing something like this below (bit of an attack on his own sons character)
Given a choice between Heenan & McKellar … I’ll take Mick.
I still think brad thorn is our guy but he needs to get the results this year to have a conversation about another contract extension.
not what I asked though.
Maybe someone should ask Werchon why he left and chose wests.
I reckon it has something to do with playing alongside his friends from the sunny coast.
Efi Ma’afu had a couple of games last year after super rugby ended and before heading overseas…
i imagine with the World Cup this year they’ll delay the northern hemisphere comps so that might make the situation a little different for QPR 2023.
I wouldn’t expect Uelese who is from Melbourne...
Hopefully more players buy into reserves grades at wests this year. Felt like there was a bit of a gap between premier grade results and reserve grade in 2022.
I hear Tony Cross (former premiership coach - 2006) is steering the ship for 2nd grade this year.
What have you heard about Easts?
they finished the season really well last year. One dumb loss to Norths (after beating wests the week before)
if one of the teams is to crack the top 4 who was on the outside looking in last season then I think it will be the tigers
team I am most intrigued about (other than my own team ) is UQ.
when is the last time they missed a qpr playoffs?
anyone know if Garrick Morgan had any success recruiting any Toowoomba grammar byproducts over to Chipsy Wood?
Someone in the reds backs is going to get a gig as a utility option on a reds bench.
If Flook can play 10, best for him to put his hand up and let people know… I’d like to see him in starting lineup but when you possibly going up against Petaia at 13 then the wingers of Daugunu/Vunivalu that...
instant bump for qld reds players to have a chance going to RWC.
I thought Dave Rennie wasn’t picking the best squad available and was succumbing to appeasing the power brokers in NSW with less inferior warratah selections. Hopefully we can get rid of “politics” in national team selection.
Did the reds sign any school leaver front row options (not that they’d be ready for a super rugby cap)
it would be nice to keep an eye on the next gen talent running around in colts rugby
There’s only so many available positions in a premier grade team. It was absolutely the right call for the careers of Liam Usher and Ethan Dobbins to come over to wests and play premier grade.
Dont forget Richie Skelton. When he was at brothers he had some handy backrowers he was behind before...
Preseason training recommenced for some clubs last night.
Should have a better indication of how squads are shaping up as a lot more players return to burn off the festive season celebrations.
I remember the rebels ARC being propped up a lot by qld players.
they had the gps hooker at the time chirven & think the Shaw brothers and Donnelley from brothers were turning out for the Melbourne team.
