There is a saying that the sign of a good team is one that plays poorly but still wins.
Aust have had a tough tough few weeks and hopefully this is the wall being hit and now they get back to there best.
To score 5 tries to 3 and lose would be unfair and i am sure if the penalties given to...
I have heard that chanel 7 want more content than just a game on saturday afternoon and are now saying they want a 1st colts game to be played and televised before the 1st grade match so that they get roughly a 4 hour package.
The big question is will Randwicks 35 scholarships be enough to beat Uni's 50 scholarships?
We done to Norths and Easts for being the top 2 rugby clubs in 1st colts and good luck to Uni and Randwick for the scholarship cup
I heard some info that will have this forum lighting up
In 2016 there is going to be a 200k salary cap on all clubs to run there rugby season.
This cap covers grade and colts and includes things such as match payments, cars, petrol money, accomodation, sign on fees etc etc plus the big one...
The 18s are still going and i saw Souths v Waverley colts on Saturday. Randwick forfeited so souths had to ring around for a game.
Speaking to the souths colts people the 18s has been a success even with basically 6 teams and with constant forfeits Souths would support it in 2016 but changes...
My understanding is that all clubs were asked to put forward players who they felt were worth looking at
If players from say Easts were not trialing then either Easts felt they were not at the level or didn't want to have them playing an extra game.
With Colts players stepping up to play grade i think shows how good the colts comp is and i think the ARU has a great product that the NSWRU should do more to help clubs take to a higher level. I know at Souths they have had 7 of last years 1st colts side play in 1st grade this year and 2 of the...
My understanding its for players who turn 19 this year and its about finding that player who slipped through the crack or league guys who switch to Rugby i am assuming and clubs nominate the players to put forward
I bumped into Tim Rapp at the CHS trials and the game is being played late june on a sunday and its badically a sydney 19s v country 20s
Players wont train and will play for there club on the saturday and play again on sunday and players involved in the NSW 20s after january cannot take part...
I was at the souths v wests game at concord and watched all 4 games, the Souths 18s are a hot side even though the score ended up close whilst the top team was on the field it was going to end up a big victory and with about 10+ reserves and just about all getting a run the score narrowed.
I think what it shows is what clubs have pathway opportunities for a clubs colts
How are the Randwick colts going to fit into a grade group doing well whereas there are great opportunities for Gordon Colts
I think what would be interesting is take the colts club championship point out of the club championship points and see that impacts the table and how much influence colts has on the overall clubs performancd
I think it will change a few pecking order spots
