High have taken out the Hume Barbour trophy. Topic was “That we should stop commemorating wars” - Smiths Hill affirmative, Sydney Boys negative. Congratulations to both teams on what I’m sure was an excellent debate!
These predictions look spot on, but I too am interested in how the competition runs without panels. Especially given the GPS systems lack of finals, and how close the teams look to be, a single rogue loss could derail a team.
But adjudicator situation aside, I wonder how the GPS would cope...
A hearty congratulations to Riverview and Barker!
Does anyone know the deal for the Australian team schedule this year, ie how many weeks will Grammar be without Yim? That may be quite significant for their GPS season if the other schools replicate their ISDA performance. Luckily it tends to...
Interesting results regarding ISDA, especially how it may bode for the GPS competition with the competition boasting 3/4 semifinalists (potentially all four if Grammar got up - credit to Barker on the win but does anyone know if their debate was a dodgy call?)
In Eastside news, High won Year...

The upcoming round looks like it could go a long way to determining the result of this competition, particularly Kings v Scots and the ever-important High Grammar clash. For the former, if Scots did lose to Joeys then this debate is a must-win for them to take advantage of their apparently...
SGHS defeated High in Hume Barbour to become Regional champions, and defeated Grammar to take out Yr 12 eastside on the topic "That South Korea should be provided with nuclear weapons". High defeated Grammar to win Yr11 eastside on the same topic.
