Feels like it. ESP the one at Sefton.

Obviously going to pick ROBs in 1st Grade. They have a lot to play for and I think the slightly wider field at T G Milner should favour them in the last 20 minutes. Beecroft to do it easy in 2s, Newport to take Colts and 3s. Should be a cracking day of finals. Sadly will be following along on...

LoL. I think Redfield's record suggests otherwise. We've always been considered too small, too young or not having a forward pack that can match it over 80 mins. Since 2010 ROBs has either come out on top or been in the mix across almost all grades.

In one of my first years playing in Subbies (I think around 06/07) the former Balmain Tigers player James Langaloa was playing for Bronte Savers after his contract was cut. He came off the bench and was absolutely poll axing blokes. Mismatch would be an understatement.

One of the great destinations in Subbies rugby. The only thing better than the scenic location is the constant feedback from the crowd. Not for the thin skinned but in good spirits and washed down with a few beverages and all left on the field.

I'm not sure having multiple teams in the finals is an advantage or disadvantage. Having been in this position over the past few seasons it does allow you to move players freely between grades. However, I think clubs with only one team contesting finals tend to do better.

Division 3 is really shaping up to be a cracker of a competition. 1st Grade 1. Epping - minor premiership all but locked up 2. Barker - 2 points clear of Iggies but face Epping next 3. Iggies - would definitely be eying off a top 2 finish but must be worried about the prospect of...

I think it would have been around 02 or 03 and they had a colts side. Would be good to have them back.

If memory serves me correctly Oakhill were in Subbies a long time ago and may have even been in Div 1 or Div 2? I remember filling in for them one week and they were playing Forrest.

I think the regional setup needs serious consideration. The obvious reality is that the competition is and has been in serious decline for some time. Fewer clubs, fewer teams, and fewer players. Any new arrangement needs to arrest this trend and make it attractive as possible for new players...

On the money there Heavy. History also suggests Subbies seem very reluctant to force teams down and would much prefer them survive on their knees.

Missed them. They will be demoted. If that sets off a chain reaction I would expect to see Hawkesbury Ag drop back and St Ives to also drop back.

Given the vast disparity in results this year I think the divisions for next year will look a lot different. Thoughts? Div 1 Drummonyne, Mosman, Petersham, Waverley, Colleagues, Knox, St Pats and Hunters Hill (promoted) Div 2 Hawkesbury Ag (just), Blue Mountains, UNSW, Forest, Hills...

They couldn't fit me under the salary cap. Although I'd be keen on doing some video stuff for the finals if there was enough interest? Don't know mate. I am just a casual observer these days. Guess will have to see how the teams line up this weekend.

Loving the mail Cactus. Are you hearing any gossip about me coming back into the playing ranks? Possibly slotting in at 1st grade with the kicking duties?

A few mate. Standard has been good. You'd be surprised how much pride some clubs put into their BBQ setup. Looking forward to getting up to Newport in a few weeks. Epping have a ram burger which is quality too.

Ha! Cactus, you've got some great mail mate.

Quality player. One of the best 9s in Subbies. Don't really put much credibility into most of this stuff about Epping on this forum. No one really knows what goes on inside a club except those actually in the middle of it week in week out.

Just banter mate. The bloke in question missed a game to attend another clubs ladies day. Criminal offence.
