Disagree. Game of 2 halves. Ash scoreless in the second half after some good play in the first half and discipline issues from SLC.
With the ball in the second half, SLC played some great footy to put points on the board and take control. The push and shove at the end was great too.
What you say is true, but I think you misread what I was saying. The first XV program focuses on winning. It starts much earlier and develops the kids for that outcome.
The rest of the school programs and AIC sport itself is not realistically setup to develop kids in that sport, moreso just...
The first XV program at SLC which is entirely separate to the rest of the rugby program is humming.
The rest of the program is arguably underdone in terms of time invested conpared with some other AIC schools but it's just a school decision that they aren't as focused as other schools on...
remember back in the day when MCA were good?
Looking forward to the remaining rounds including the old boys touch footy game SLC vs MCA.
Hopefully all roads lead to Padua but lots for football to be played.
The relationship between AIC and GPS is strong if you count pilfering.
A handful of games during one term is not really a comp that develops kids but unfortunately that is the pinnacle comp in junior rugby atm. AIC is definitely great with AFL and league adding to opportunities but it does...
mate the villa supporters had very little to cheer about until the last 6 mins. Lots of bluster on social media and prior to the game, generally tame during and thinking about the next once in a blue moon the stars will align for them to challenge for a rugby premiership in AIC.
I did enjoy the...
Yes I am!
If he can't keep that rolling it will be a tragedy.
In the scheme of many posts here on his sign up, general support and then posts on the first XV team make up of year 12s it's pretty fair game to ask questions.
Fwiw my school had some huge losses in a few A sides
Premierships count in First XV.
Marist has traditionally had a good rugby program based on the large number of decent rugby coaches on staff compared to other schools. Compare that to AFL in which they don't have strong/big AFL clubs close by and coaches on staff so aren't as competitive...
The A sides or the First XV?
The point being there was much positivity around the new rugby coordinator at the school so given the results against a traditional easy beat- how was the feeling in the Ashgrove rugby community now?
