    Australian Rugby / RA

For all the "tribalism" purported to be surrounding the clubs, they struggle to get 500 people at a game

    Australian Rugby / RA

I think at the moment even getting the Aus Super Rugby sides to roll into a Aus Super Rugby comp without the wob squad would be a stretch

    Australian Rugby / RA

How can RA afford to run a 3rd tier national comp with just no money? The logistical costs of flying around teams is just so tough Even if you make each team FIFO the day of the game (so they aren't paying for accommodation), how does that function with WA?

Whereas say Kellaway just makes good decisions constantly at test level

RA has a budget, any overs he is given means someone else may miss out, if it is a good negotiation both side will be grudgingly happy

    Waratahs 2024

I would guess his contract was based on how shit he was a couple of years ago. he will get an upgrade and if he thinks he is worth more than what is offered, good luck to the guy. I think the interesting spin is the option suggested is Sydney based, there were no comments about France or Japan...

    Wallabies 2024

Agreed, pretty good and the best 6/8 selection we have, but he isn't "dominating" at test level

    Wallabies 2024

Valetini doesn't dominate at test level, he is a solid test player at best, but so far his quality at Super Rugby level hasn't been delivered at test level

    Wallabies 2024

He just has to be the best we have in the opinion of the coach, as I have said before we have a reasonable first 15 and then .... all the options are compromises, we just watched Jones have a youth policy ie "f*ck it, the marginal squad incumbents haven't performed so lets try the kids"...

    Waratahs 2024

I think we will do the same as this year, our two ball players will be 9 & 10 With Gordon running the short stuff and the flat ball to a wider runner on the edge trying to get quick front foot ball over the advantage line - with the 10 then playing in behind looking for opportunities Our real...

They are all limited footballers, ie play Tane @ 12 and we have no attacking threat in that channel

    Waratahs 2024

Perese has been selected @ 12 - for the Barbarians vs Wales An interesting selection, an angry crash baller @ 12 has certain value in modern rugby

The one and only Wallaby Coach thread

We have had the change agent, I think we will have a safe, conservative choice Aus option I'm not sure why a top tier foreign option would be interested and the next level mercenary will be considered not of standard from the start
