I don’t doubt that you were in the conversation. A lot of people like to pump their own tyres, I have heard a number of helicopter dads claim their son was offered a scholarship to school x but didn’t take it. In the case of Joeys they didn’t take it because it didn’t exist.

Simply not true, other than that, sure, nothing to get offended about.

Tom Hartman is an outstanding player and a great lad. I reckon there could be a second Grover in the backline to make it 3 in the team.

In a similar fashion to the number of absences Joeys had the day they played Barker…. Like for like, it is hard to say who was the best.

Agree, Complete and utter b.s. it really is funny how so many chuck muck around on this topic based on nothing at all. Here is a real true story, this past season, one school (not Joeys) featured a star player who happened to be the son of a Joeys old boy. Prior to sending his son to that...

That is correct, BK was class of 92 then played colts at Manly from 93 until Super League came along with an offer too good to refuse from the Raiders. The rest, as they say is history.

The only way you could ever contemplate a combination of competitions and tier system would be if Barker in particular and even Knox to an extent improved their age group depth. Barker will not even put up age group A and B teams to play Joeys. Game day Vs Barker is a logistical nightmare.

Exactly, Joeys has about 130 on average per year.

Over time 18 months and all that improvement.

No one at Joeys compares themselves to Barker, believe me.

Barker has the same number of male students as Joeys.

How many Barker boys were selected in Gen Blue 1’s or 2’s this year? Successful sporting schools don’t have a strong 1st team programs, they have a strong programs. It’s a subtle difference but it is the difference between earned success and purchased success. I have no issues with the kids...

How can you have a competition that faces Barker off against GPS schools when their age group teams actively avoid or refuse to plays Joeys? It is a simple admission on behalf of Barker that until they have their scholarship students arrive they are uncompetitive.

No one is suggesting Barker should imitate Joeys, Barker couldn't come close. If it is character you are looking for, well I know who I would want to be in the trenches with. As for the balance of your narrow minded bs, Joeys does just fine on the arts front, the school had the best music...

Fake news, I can say with confidence that this is incorrect at this point in time. Yes the roosters are keen but there are various options in both codes to consider.

    More dribble, utter ignorance.

What a load of rot, if Barker had the smallest interest in improving rugby they wouldn’t fill their teams in senior years with kids who are already committed to the NRL. Why is it that an A grade player at Joeys in yr 10 has never played Barker yet the first XV have played Barker every year...
