Lindfield, my old club, fielding 5 15s plus 25 reserves, with two women’s sevens squads tomorrow. As ever the depth is there, will wait to see how the ones match up against a reportedly strong UNSW side. Old Soldier
As a side note - the total salary cap for the NRL is now around $204 mn, up from around $154 mm last year. The cap for the development players is up to $600 k per team from $248 k. That is a lot of serious money looking for young talent.
Especially when they are already at a private school (somewhat bigotry to believe an Anglican environment is superior to a Catholic?).
Agree with FormerR and WLF - talented kids are not stupid, they will switch to sports where there is a level playing field (and their mates will join them).
