    Shute Shield 2014

Apologies if this has already been discussed (Ive been out of contact) but does anyone think it would have been a good idea to have the SS grand finals as warm up games for the Bledisloe at Homebush today??

    Rebels 2014

I'm starting to think WTF does TT know. Hill's head was on the chopping board this time last year and the Rebel results were better than now! Kingston should have AT LEAST come off the bench last week and Reid should have had a run when Fugistaller hurt his shoulder in Dunedin.

    Rebels 2014

Good to see Neville run on this week. Coach quoted on website today "It was always our intention to give guys a bit of time during the early rounds, and find out what everybody is capable of, and we've done that" so it doesn't look like Jefferies, Aholelei, Reid are in the mix.

    Shute Shield 2014

I would be happy to pay a "nominal" season subscription for Rugby News...I paid $5 per week for a copy so $60-80 per annum would be good value.

Thanks Yikes.......and we wonder why rugby is in decline in this country!!!!!!

    Shute Shield 2014

Dave, the SRU was a wasted body a long time before the evolution of the NRC. They do not have a website or a contact address for correspondence. (Maybe they don't want to hear from the paying public.....sorry...stakeholders!)

    Shute Shield 2014

I really miss the "Rugby News" programme .....surely the SRU (who?) could distribute the team sheets each week. What do they actually do for their dollar????

    Chiefs v Rebels Rd 9 2014

I would like to see Burgess start and Stirzy off the bench

    Rebels 2014

I think that is more than left field! He may make it down the track but he has been very lucky not to be yellow carded twice in the last few weeks. His inexperience shows!

    Tahs v Rebels Rnd 6 2014

I had about 10 schooners pre match so excuse me if I missed a few things You obviously weren't drinking at the stadium - ....I tried to get a drink 10 mins into the second half...there was a queue of 50+ and three people serving! I gave up!!!

    Shute Shield 2013

Thanks informer...He and Michael Hooper were the standouts in the early 2000's . It is interesting how different juniors develop!

    Shute Shield 2013

Gordon was certainly the team to beat. I remember a semi final at Rat Park in the early 2000's when the Warringah juniors were cheering for Manly (against Gordon). You wouldnt see that very often! What happened the the very talented "big blonde" kid who played centre/wing..think his name was...

    MANLY 2013

Gordon was the team to beat in those days...Manly was successful in (I think) under 14's 2005

    Shute Shield 2013

From memory (might be a bit hazy) Gilmore played up a year until under 14's and BJ was older but Tom Kingston (Sydney Uni) and Ben Volavola (Southern Districts) played in the U'11's, 12, and 13's for Manly.. The team to beat was Gordon! and the Manly boys took the trophy in U'14's 2005!

    Shute Shield 2012

I am somewhat biased as I helped Manly get Jordy Reid a few years back. I think it would be hard to go past him for rookie. Knuckles, to my knowledge Jordy played Seaforth Raiders from under 9's, Manly Junior reps U10, U11, U12, 1st XV for Shore then to Manly Colts...doubt he ever considered...

GPS boys playing in Shute Shield

Jordy Reid who plays back row for Manly went to Shore (2009) and a Manly junior rep...Another Jordan Reid (younger brother of Sam Reid (Warringah) went to Knox (2010)
