how hard would it be for a club to actually host a summer sevens tournament? minimum would need Referee's (they aren't exactly going to have hectic schedules at that time of year), someone trained in first aid, two pitches and an admin tent. it's not like they have to be on every week anyway...

i think, and this is a guess, that because most of the decent players are paid mostly by the nzru that they are able to move between teams fairly seamlessly with minimum transfer issues regarding new contracts.

If we absolutely must do this (and i'd much rather sink the idea) i'd prefer it be a mix team vs new zealand so it doesn't become all about the league vs union bullshit.
