Hey do you guys know if the Wallabies or All Blacks tend to be rested from Super Rugby for the game before or after the tour? I recall the Wallabies were rested before the Lions last year but not sure if that was just a once off or not.

I'd love to know the answer to this too. I think it would mean Slipper doesn't play a game before the Test.

More than a few times? Yeah I can't split the 3 of them tbh. Barring someone really putting there stamp on it in the next few weeks, none would surprise me.

This is my current leaning: Slipper Moore ? Jones Simmons Fardy Hooper ? White Cooper Cummins To'omua Kuridrani AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) Izzy Reckon Skelton could well be a bench smoky. TH has been done to death. NFI. 8 is tough. Higgers was so good early in the season and has done the job before but has...

It's a balance to some degree of how much weight you give to last year's test form vs more recent Super form. There are some suggestions here and elsewhere that one is the entire focus and the other ignored entirely, which won't be the case. The locks are an interesting case in point. No-one...

I like your side better than your expected side! Godwin would certainly be a bolter...

Yeah it's a bit of a pain. The plus side is it turns a lot of people off which make the prizes easier to win! I feel like I've got one foot in that corporate box now after Slade's effort today. Should hopefully pull 40-50 clear of 2nd. Early days still but solid start.

Gee stocks in Horwill and Cooper took an absolute battering there.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s stocks definitely went up with the Tomane injury. Kuridrani, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Cummins and Tomane were becoming an awfully difficult quartet to fit into 3 places. If there is ever an upside to an injury, it solves that dilemma.

The recent ones on the front row have. Last night added to the tighthead tally and made those stats even more damning. The point is they're not made up and can't be ignored, and the head in the sand approach to it by some deserves scrutiny. At some point when they stack up enough you realise...

Yep we've covered that. The point is pretty clear. I'll forgive that last comment as hangover talk.

I thought the Brumbies scrum went OK after a shaky start, which was a good sign. The tighthead lost seemed a bit unlucky again. Although Fox stats now shows: Tightheads lost props Ben Alexander 6 Scott Sio 6 Chris King 5 Kane Hames 4 Ruan Smith 3 Everyone else 2 or less Tightheads lost...

You wouldn't have got 0. If you click player stats, you'll see how many points each player has got since being traded into your team.

    Fantasy Super Rugby 2014

Yeah you can't. It's an issue with the display. The player scores shown are their points in the period. Given we just finished a period last week and are starting a new one this week, that means everyone shows 0. This week, being the first week of a new period, is the most useful week for the...

Yeah I've watched all the Brumbies games to date. I've focused on the stats primarily here because they highlight the end results, which have been surprisingly bad for a team with such a highly regarded scrum. So I figure they're worth mentioning in a thread like this given the entire front row...

That's the Fox Sports stats. Yeah, they definitely beat the Waratahs in the scrum. But that's part of the concern. I've mentioned a bit the inadequacy of Aussie props generally. Usually the counter is "but the Brumbies scrum is the best". Well everything we've seen shows it isn't the best, or...

Alexander and Sio are at 5 tightheads lost each - the most in the competition. So the majority are with those guys out there - it's not a reserve props issue. It's taking a stat in isolation but you've also gotta recall none of those were included in last week's capitulation, where we lost...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

It looks like an important week for the Brumbies scrum after recent struggles. I suspect Link will be expecting them to hold their own against the Sharks if Sio and Alexander are going to be seriously considered for Wallaby berths. I notice on Fox dream team, Moore has 7 tightheads lost, more...

All 5 of the Reds in contention are contentious at this stage. I don't think you could have Simmons or Horwill on form. It's just a matter now of how much you value test experience vs domestic form, and also team balance. Fardy and Jones look the main alternatives. I think Slipper is a good...

I reckon outside of Moore, Hooper, Izzy and Fardy it all looks pretty open. You'll notice a similar thing here and on other forums where the "certainties" people name are pretty widely divergent outside those 4. Fardy's position is unclear too. The rest are getting a little clearer but remain...
