    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Think you are reading too much into my post. I actually subscribe to Fox (via Telstra NBN) and pay $40/month every month of the year and haven't watched it in ages. Mrs Badge watches Wentworth / Westworld- but really doesn't get watched except when rugby is on. Netflix is getting 10X the...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Can the mods or someone with the know how set up a poll on this thread or a new one. Seems to me there are 2 broad camps. 1) Those supporting the current provincial model based around our existing (4/5) super franchises playing in some form of hybrid domestic/TT/pacific competition 2)...

    Shute Shield 2020

Are all clubs back training? Non contact? Player/coach movements? any rosters?

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I am sure the FTA 1 game per week was still going to happen. Fox wanted every game for broadcast. I would have liked either option to have played out. 1) Fox takes SS and walks from Super Rugby or 2) The whole lot ends up with Optus But sadly the sabotage killed off both and now just a mess

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think that was a back door strategy to take over the game if they lost Super Rugby. News/Fox would then have a comp, add money and would compete against the Optus held Super Rugby. Raelene Castle smelt that rat and bought all the clubs back in - which the SRU unanimously agreed too. Might have been really...

you are a bit of a misnomer QH. Why is it that I think you are advocating for an ARC/NRC model now.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Put me in the camp of supporters who want to retain our Provincial teams and build a comp around that. Reds, Tahs, Brums, Rebs, Force we have. All have value in their brands and a potential huge supper base - perhaps Latent but given some love could fill stadiums. I dont think in our...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Ok, lets say put them up at Narrabeen Sports academy. Grounds to train + catered accommodation Say squad of 35 , lets assume 10 already Sydney based and don't need accommodating. I am guessing $200/day would feed and board a player on a long term arrangement. = 35K /week for 8 weeks =...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

a team of non contracted players, dont think it is going to cost too much. probably some match payments similar to nrc. Players will have the option to decline joining the squad. Somehow I dont think many will. They want the opportunity

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I haven't a problem with this. Basically all teams get 2 chances to win something. Helps keep interest. So the Tahs have a horrible start to the season and come SML in the AUS domestic comp. Then find some form and smack the NZ teams 5 Nil, And get themselves into a 4 team TT play off...
