Has more to do with the fact it came from a known Barker basher.

Ned was cleared by an independent doctor to play (not prompted by the school)... Did this make it legal under the Rugby NSW rules? No. But he was not suffering from concussion symptoms, and in fact at no point suffered head trauma when he was blue-carded. So, no. Has nothing to do with his...

    CAS Rugby 2024

It wasn't an obstruction. I explained this in last years thread. Do I need to explain it again? As long as the "arrow-head" of the maul doesn't pass the ball back through the maul then it's not an obstruction. The arrow-head in this scenario didn't do that, he broke from the maul, and he scored...

I get this. But Nudgee aren't Aloys. They're a premier rugby school in the world. Just frustrating at the 1stXV level. My frustration doesn't stem from this game, it's something I've always found frustrating.

Never understood this rule. What kind of game punishes dominance?

Barker 2nds defend extremely well especially for a 2nds team.... Unfortunately that's only half the game.

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

Who were the standouts? I assume from scoreline primarily Tahs boys

"Nothing achieved," after describing what would be at the very least, a small improvement to the existing structure. Also the whole "acquired," thing is dead.

    NSW AAGPS 2024

Trial showed a reduction in concussions. Can't compare rugby league to rugby union when rugby league never teaches good tackle tecnhique.

I also said boys do better in co-ed, girls don't. Did I not?

    NSW AAGPS 2024

I quite literally said exactly that.

Very heavily debated topic. I tend to believe that statistical trend because it is consistent with my experiences. The fact of the matter is most only will experience one form of private school education. I am in a rare position as I have the insight of attending both an elite GPS school, and a...

Because it's better. Times are changing. Boys clubs for misognystic meatheads are outdated. There's a reason Barker has the longest waitlist of any school in Australia right now. I think you'll find both Newington and Cranbrook in time, will become far more in demand.

    NSW AAGPS 2024

Pretty simple... Statistics show boys learn better in co-ed environments and girls don't. As for the rest of you sooks. If you don't like co-ed schools, don't send your kids there. As someone who attended both, I think co-ed is a far superior schooling environment. But if you don't, don't send...

Very hopeful that they have a strong women rugby program too. With Cranbrook doing the same hopefully we ca start towards a strong women competition. At the moment there is literally no competition for the Barker. It is incredibly frustrating for the girls when Barker's firsts often play their...

Rats. He's a big, mobile 7. No holes in his game at all.
  18. RedOrDead

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

He's literally 6 foot and 95 kgs... He is one of the biggest 7's in Colts.

    No. Tom Livingstone.

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

I agree. Thought Barrett was the only front rower for the Tahs who really deserved selection in the front row (considering Finau was injured). Thought Edwards may have squeezed in, but some of those impact players for ACT should feel hard done by.
