To be fair - as a 29 year old Sydney sider - I honestly don't know many people that didn't watch it. Not sure where you're based (or your demographic) but it was a huge talking point in my circles / at work.

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

Does anybody else find it annoying the extent to which the commentators are hyping as Bowen as 'the man to take the Waratahs forward'? We're dead last on the ladder and yesterday it was Harrison, before that it was Edmed and before that it was Donaldson. No 14 year old flyhalf is going to...

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

Ffs rulings like that kill the game

    Aussie Player Exodus

Super Rugby is increasingly becoming the Children’s Crusade. Next season the Waratahs squad will have an average age of 14.

Super Rugby Round One: Reds vs Waratahs. Suncorp Feb 24

I mean I get it - it’s the letter of the law, but when it’s viewed at full speed it looks fine: Jorgensen tackles him pretty much as he touches the ball. Of course, when you can slow it down and watch it frame by frame, he technically touches him SLIGHTLY before Petaia touches the ball. BUT...

    Waratahs 2024

I'm excited to see more of Edmed this year, if he can remain uninjured. I think his first season showed a lot of promise, and it was exceptionally interesting to see Dan Carter ask about him on The Good, The Bad & The Rugby. He was quite impressed with Edmed, and said he had spent some time...

Could a different city host it each year? Make it a knock out tournament (or a rapid pool tournament) with larger squads and games every 3-4 days for teams. If you can find incredibly cheap accommodation near grounds (e.g. the Aus Schoolboys used to put kids up in the Riverview Boarding Houses...

    League Targets

Angus Crichton makes an incredible amount of sense if you can move past the price tag and the notion of whether it’s fair for our current roster of players. Firstly, I want to touch on the case of his mental health. I have family members with schizophrenia and bipolar, and a few friends with...

    Wallabies 2023

I think all the conversations about the Wallabies head coach are focusing on the wrong point. For a while now we've had international players coming into Australian Super Rugby setups and being absolutely shocked about the level of coaching provided there. We have a novice professional coach at...

RWC 2023 - All Blacks pool matches

PS I can’t wait until France put 40 on these All Hack pretenders in the first game of the World Cup. It will be a lifeboat of joy in the frothing fifty foot swells that make up the ocean of disappointment that is being a Wallabies fan.

RWC 2023 - All Blacks pool matches

I woke up this morning at 7:30AM and checked the score. I smiled a full smile to myself, checked Green and Gold for Dismals reaction to the game and when I saw it was missing, I went back to bed. It is a very warm feeling knowing that you have something superb to look forward to at the start...

A thought -- in podcasts and articles over the last year, I've read how Ireland completely transformed their rugby program and national results over a number of years by embracing and investing in it's private school system. Since hearing this, it's bounced around my head a lot. I went to a...

    Bledisloe 2 2023 @ Dunedin 12:35PM Sat 5 Aug

Where's that bloke who always rants about how Quade is the second coming of Jesus? I can't believe that Cheika would make him drop that one.

Why go for a non-contestable short line drop out?

Pone playing very well -- shame he's down. My other key takeaway is that Damian McKenzie either can't tackle to save his life, or he's trying to stay uninvolved so he doesn't injure himself pre RWC.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

Interestingly enough, I’ve just looked the law re deliberate knock ons up in the World Rugby rule book. The relevant law is such: 3. A player must not intentionally knock the ball forward with hand or arm. Sanction: Penalty. Therefore, as I remembered, the rule only pertains to knock ons, not...

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

Carter Gordon seemed to be the only glimmer of hope in this team. Every touch had intent and a sense of competition in it. The rest of the team can get fucked.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I was under the impression you could deliberately knock the ball down if you knocked it backwards?

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I’ve just tuned in and my God this has been ugly. Unforced errors left right and centre, no one chasing kicks, our scrum just got absolutely rogered. No heart at the moment. They’re all waiting for the game to end.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

The kick travelled like 20 metres and there wasn’t a Wallaby within 10 metres of him when he received it. What the fuck were they all doing?
