Reg, I think the two loosies, Amelia Brown and Tayla Rowe display the workrate and momentum changing impact required to be worthy of consideration.
In the backs Larana Thomas who alternates between 9 and 15 and played for Griffith in AON Sevens is worth a look, along with Georgia Sim and Ella...
It is great to see Shannon in the mix, and 7 of the 9 Clubs in the Premier Womens Competition represented amongst the 48 selected players.
The 2 clubs without representation are the 2021 Wooden Spooners Brothers, and Souths who managed to Finish 5th on the table ahead of Wests (6 selected), UQ...
Coady has him covered Filth.
Looking forward to the day. After Jeeps took the chocolates in all grades at Yoku it will be good to see how the boys respond. Best of luck to both clubs.
Agree Filth, Freney (Another great Brothers name) is certainly top shelf. TT is spot on, Freney v Gunn should be a ripper. As TT would say, 3 more sleeps.
Yeah Filth, real shame for Dom and a pity we we might not get to see him play for Brothers again. He always really put in when he had the opportunity to play for the club.
At least I suppose he will still be in blue and white. The Rebels ARC strip was almost identical to the Brothers one in...
BD, agree 100%. I was on the side of the field that Zangari was on and when I posted earlier that sanity prevailed it was in praise of the Jeeps trainer. I got the impression that Zangari was insisting he would be right to continue (as most blokes do I guess, although it was surprising to see a...
Thanks BD, I suspected he was concussed, just hoping for his sake he hadn't copped a fracture of any sort. Loved the physicality of the game last week, just don't want to see anybody get too busted up. Particularly coming into finals time, nothing worse than watching finals injured.
BigDog, how did Zangari pull up after Saturday? I thought he was out cold after he was smashed initially then after the play came back his way a couple of minutes later it looked like a reflex action to pick himself up take the pass, dash about 20 metres only to be buried again...thankfully...
TT, I was a spectator for both of these days. Reckon you are right that the crowd numbers were about even. No doubt though that the combined crowd IQ number was much higher the day that Brothers played.
Filth, I fired up the DeLorean on Saturday and dragged myself out of the past to have a look at the Tigers and Jeeps. Tigers very impressive in the first half particularly. Placid was on fire, rest of the backs well drilled with good execution and a hard working, hard hitting pack of forwards...
TT, I have been involved at 6 rugby clubs in different states over 5 decades and understand that there are far more similarities than differences but thanks for sharing your wisdom on the subject.
Maybe we should enjoy the ride of supporting Rugby and be grateful that any allegiance we have to...
Yes TT, the stench of failure sits heavy in the air at Crosby.
Just last week some of the old boys of were discussing the situation and it was agreed that 4 premierships in 8 decades was the new benchmark we should be striving for.
It is also a good lead in to the Reds v Tahs at Suncorp that night. I am sure that for many the Bottomley Park match up will rank higher in importance.
He is still on the BBQ roster at Brothers, does a great burger old Shawry.
Still looks fit enough to play and the crazy eyes can come out if you are not careful.
