They played Churchie and lost by only 2 points. Churchie placed 3rd and Terrace 4th. They got rolled by TSS in round 9 but TSS and Nudgee were just a class above everyone else last season. Nudgee and TSS were 1st and 2nd respectively.
Final Scores:
NC 42 - TSS 15 (Did not expect this massive blowout)
BSHS 24 - BBC 20 (What an upset for BBC!)
ACGS 31 - GT 29 (Terrace came mighty close and certainly proved that they can contend with the big boys, congratulations to Churchie for getting a much needed W after their loss against...
Loving this hype around BBC v GT, should be an interesting fight given the circumstances. I will say that GT are far more than just their best player, but BBC are incredibly well drilled regardless of injuries. If I had to bet, I'd say BBC but a GT upset wouldn't surprise me either. On Churchie...
Given their performance's this week, I think GT and BGS both deserve some more respect on their names, just putting that one out there. Both were slated by most for heavy losses to their opponents and put on a show to win quite confidently. Based on these past 2 weekends, GT vs BGS will likely...
That was the poorest performance from Terrace this season, they got absolutely dismantled by that Ipswich side. Definitely not the game it could have been had Terrace shown up.
Congrats to BBC on their first outright win, well deserved, especially after last years unfortunate loss to TSS.
I think another interesting match this week will be Terrace vs Ipswich. Both came very close to beating TSS and seem to have been a bit of a handful for all of the better teams this season. I'm personally backing Terrace, but Ipswich are always capable of winning a match when they put their...
It wouldn't surprise me, Nudgee has incredible depth to their program. Similar sort of thing happened last season against Terrace in the opens. Terrace won in the 4ths, 3rds and 2nds, but BBC won fairly strongly in the 1sts.
Wow, I expected Grammar to give State High a grinding game given how much of a handful they have been for some of the bigger teams this season. Will be interesting to see what State High delivers next week for sure.
That Terrace choke would have been mighty upsetting for those lads, they were up 7 points right up until 67 minutes in. Then came the sharks with a try and a penalty goal.
Just on the Terrace v Nudgee rivalry there, I would argue that since 2015 it has actually been returning to a decent contest. Average score separating the two schools in that time frame is just 7-8 points, including the 2018 match which was a very strong Nudgee win (49-25). Still, it has been...
