That's an odd remark. I have seen lots of afternoon and evening/night games for Super Rugby in Australia, yet there seems to have only ever been early afternoon games in Japan.
Still doesn't address the lack of prime time games for Super Rugby.
As to having a game in prime time.... Why are the Sunwolves games at around 1pm (Japanese local time)? Those matches could easily be moved to a time slot that would suit Aus/NZ better. Or can the Japanese only watch rugby in the middle of the day.
So they dump a 29 y.o. who has won a super title and played for the wallabies for a 30 y.o. fly-half come half-back come fly-half who has won ?? Yep, sounds like the Reds all right.
I'm no expert but from what I have seen with Super Rugby is that success comes from teams that are well coached and the obvious example to this is when Link coached the Reds. Link is/was a pragmatist, he worked with the players and the skills they had and coached and formulated his game plan...

All true, but I can kinda guess that if the Aus teams continue with Super Rugby and whatever other directions the ARU give them, then it's nearly a given that most of the teams will again run foul of financial mismanagement and most probably will require bailing out. Just as they...
Hahaha
This is the unpopular opinion thread, not the jokes thread ;)
Amazes me how so many people have forgotten the basic points of all this situation and how the ARU have yet again been played like the bunch of spineless suckers they are. The whole original point, as deemed by SANZAR, was...
Fine, but my statement was referring to trying to have a national rugby competition available as often as possible for people to watch. What NZ do is their business. NZ also have club rugby and other competitions as well. Having the NRC run alongside all the test series would be an added benefit...
True, but they also don't immediately give penalties for players who just put their hands down pretending to steal the ball. I also don't see much difference with the way most NZ teams get away with in slowing down the ball. They also seem more logical when dealing with high and dangerous...
Been watching the Under 20's and I think Hamish Stewart is quite ok at 10. They should bring him along as Quade's eventual replacement. Then again, knowing how the Reds operate, if he gets any good he'll end up at the Tah's or Brumbies instead.
I think Sanzar is the problem. I believe they tell the referee's to adjudicate in a certain fashion because they perceive those interpretations will make for a better spectacle for the punters.
I watch a bit of northern hemisphere rugby and the way they ref up there is much better - especially...
Interestingly, Toulon had 3 different Head Coaches this season (the last head coach only getting 6 games) and yet played in the French Top 14 grand final....
Maybe we should be sacking ours more often!!
Liam Gill will be staying at Toulon for next season and is not moving on to Lyon or back home to Australia. Gill performed solidly in Toulon's grand final loss to Clermont (Score: 22-16) early this morning at Stade Francais. JOC (James O'Connor), surprisingly sporting the exact same hairstyle as in last weekends...
Saw the game and if there was indeed a ruck formed (there wasn't) then A: the force player never released the reds player before stripping the ball and B: when the ball was lost during the strip, the force player lying on the ground is not legally allowed to kick it away.
