I think Tahs were in the wrong place at the wrong time that day . City were in a mood and really did a job on them in the first half . I'd expect theyll bounce back .
Aggies ? Well they have had a pretty solid lead up , though i am told they were incredibly lucky at Tumut but they've yet to...
Whilst seeing your side win by a blowout score can be quite satisfying , it doesnt actually do much for the standard of the game nor does it actually do much for the quality of play in the zone.
I've been on the end of a number of towellings dont worry ! So all power to Griffith and Albury with...
Is this forum on life support ?
We had some great results ( for some, others would disagree) on the weekend . Reddies with a resounding win - that would be their highest score in at least 8 years ? They'd certainly have their tails up heading into a big clash with Tahs this week.
Aggies win...
Ive heard from a couple of sources that the Reddies v Leeton game was at times 'messy' . And that perhaps very little quarter was given or taken so to speak.
City had a very solid win in Griffith .
The pre season merry go round looks like its finally come to an end ! Deni out of 1's , Tahs out of 3's , Deni into 3's , Steamers out of 3's ...
Poor old jack must have been sick of doing drawers up ! Lets see what next week brings .
So here we are . Week out from the real stuff. Any thoughts...
I seemed to have missed something here ?
Congratulations to Tahs and Nick and his coaching staff. Well done on the win and it was deserved . We had our chances and didn’t convert them and at the end of the day it was Tahs defence that won that game .
I will not lie in saying that it hurt but...
Well done to all clubs that have made it to the Grand Final . It does look likem fairly decent weather and we can only hope that the play is as exciting as it was in the qualifying final. Not too exciting ! I dont think my heart could cope with that again !
Tahs were pretty comprehensive in...
Tahs are down on a few troops this week but what they've got to cover them is still handy. It will be hard for Tahs after that loss last week because they threw everything but the kitchen sink at us. Aggies will be confident but i just think Tahs have the big game experience to get over the...
Honestly Connolly is verging on shambolic when compared to other grounds around the zone. Still the best playing surface by a country mile but the facilities are at best described as antiquated and unsuitable for modern standards.
It was a big day of rugby that’s for sure . Very happy with our result even though the blood pressure rates in the coaching box was astronomically high !
I felt the tahs v city game was of Grand final standard . A ripping , pulsating game where no one was ever comfortable with the game tucked...
Well the minor premiership is now an intricate affair isnt it ?
We need two big wins , aggies need two big wins and tahs need two big wins. Given we play Aggies in last round that game turns into one of mega importance as does the Tumut v Tahs game . Juicy !
I'm not saying saturday was one...
I think we would all love to know how last nights board meeting progressed ! Hot topic being Reddies and their immediate future. I hope for the integrity of the comp they can hang on this season. And perhaps there does need to be some sort of intervention by SIRU / Brumbies ?
Reddies forfeit 1's v Deni. Thats not good news in any shape or form . I think its the last time Reddies would have left wagga so hopefully we can avoid this scenario again . Otherwise its probably the death knell of a proud club.
City to account for Tumut , Tahs to rattle up the points v...
I think finding a student player in Reddies ranks ( mens & womens ) these days would be quite unusual .
So whats the answer ? Do they pivot away from the Uni and present as a 3rd Wagga rugby club ? Do they head north into one grade land ? I cant answer any of that for them but i do know that...
Also noticed Leeton got smashed in 2nd Grade yesterday by Ag College (on Uni holidays) - Where are the Phantoms heading as well ??
In no particular order City, Waratahs , Ag College and Tumut (definitely 4th) will play finals this year but we have to wait another 5 weeks for that to happen...
And its back on ! Ironic that we had 5 byes last year in the 1's comp , this year just the 1 bye ! Sadly the girls are suffering from multiple byes now - it makes it bloody hard to keep continuity !
So my Kisses of death for week coming :
Albury v Tahs - id like to think Albury can push Tahs...
Well done to Aggies . Comprehensively outplayed us . Didnt let our big boys dominate the game and moved us round to where they wanted to play . Smart coaching and some very smart players. Any yahooing , any drunkeness was well deserved and i'm sure the Farrar was the place to be saturday night...
What do i reckon ? Heres how it plays out :
Deni v Albury : see this is actually a clutch game. Deni wins this , it almost near gurantees them squeezing into finals . I'd like to support my old mate house but i think Deni will be too much for them this saturday . Deni wins 15+
Griffith v...
