Re those Large boys, I have a good mate with a son at Gregs Campbelltown, he'd been raving about them for a couple of years, the son played with Ashton, needless to say they were shattered to lose them, they both look pretty special though haven't seen Ashton play more than about 15 minutes. No...

    NSW AAGPS 2023

No mention of Ben Kennedy in any of the teams so far, went to league obviously a year or 2 out of school but was good enough to be a standout Wallaby, fantastic footballer, Mongrel, Motor, skill, allround machine that bloke. I was on the bench for Sydney Uni when he scored 4 tries for Manly...

Re best GPS wallabies Jim Lenehan have to be considered, he played for View opposite Curley then like Max Jorgensen they both toured with the Wallabies the next year. 10 years as Wallaby Fullback and a freakish allround athlete that held both the GPS Shot put and 110 hurdles records for 30...

I'm amazed at the increase in size over the past 30-40 years, back then you'd get a few kids up around or into the low 90's kg's and a freak every now and again over 100, average weight must be up 10kg's at least. There's a lot of backs over 90 kegs these days for a start.

Where did Foketi go to school? Amazing Max Jorgensen, no wonder some of the GPS teams had trouble handling him 12 months ago.

A comment re the Kings team, obviously big, powerful and very talented, but its easy to overlook how well drilled they are, they have been the best counter ruck team I've seen in a while. You have to be absolutely commited if you want to retain your own ball against that pack. Then if they get a...

Sharples a huge out for Joeys as well. But that Joeys team will be massively motivated, like Scots who haven't had the best season if you can push the premiers and maybe jag a win or draw you'd feel like you've salvaged something.

Duncan McCrae in their 91/92 teams as well.

I have no allegiance to Shore, but like the way the school has rallied behind their rugby past couple of seasons and brought them back from the brink. Fair point though re Scots away game.

Best game View v Kings rd 1 Atmosphere View Joeys at Leichardt, have to be biggest crowd. Food Shore Parking Kings Supporters View, Shore, Kings not much in it. Home and away, Schools with bigger boarding houses at an advantage. Not qualified on the other categories.

fair point, absolute class act Max. Also love the way he lets his footy do the talking, too much lip going back and forth between plenty of the high profile players this year.

Yep Noble, never seen a bloke bounce back onto his feet so quickly. View pack recycle the ball very well and he's a big part of that as well.

OK point taken, thought my points were valid and intentionally no schools mentioned. Back onto the rugby. Next point of discussion, I realise there has been some very good individual performances this season in the 1st XV comp, probably as many from teams lower on the table as the top. Has there...

A lot of the teams thrown up there for best in last 40 years were predominantly from the era when High and Grammar were still competitive and playing in the 1's comp. I think most mentioned went 7-0.

I'm a huge fan of the home and away format, much better and I think fairer. I like the fact that you can potentially drop 1 or 2 games and win, the best team more likely to win. I think 5 comp games you could get lucky and jag a comp. I also like the fact that it potentially tests your depth as...

Still undefeated Kings but for me that takes them out of the discussion for best GPS team in history that was debated here last week. They were no where near as motivated as they were for the big game v View the week before. Thats understandable but there have been some outstanding teams win the...

    NSW AAGPS 2023

Will Hayes the View 12, has done a great job on some much hyped opponents all season and barely rates a mention anywhere. Justice playing 8 very well for Joeys and I think technically could play in the 15's. I can't think of that happening prior with a forward. Finn Bartlett, working the house...

Marshall is good and maybe next year for him, currently Noble, Durbridge and Young all have him covered. That Joeys 90 team gets my vote, massive for and against, brilliant footy to watch, plus plenty Burke (Wallabies), Jorgensen (NRL), Graham Thompson I think Tahs straight out of school b4 knee...
