I agree, certainly with the coxing of B.Dewhurst who has had 4 years of coxing at the senior level. As well as 6 of the 8 2nd 8 rowers returning. we'll be seeing one of the strongest Newington squad we could be seeing in a while.

As it will be a cross head from lane 1 to lane 8, it should theoretically help out the crews in Lanes 1,2,3 as the crews from 4-8 will have to battle out the wind more.

I think that Simmons is a lock for 1st XV. His value to the 16A's last year in the games I watched was indescribable. I believe Clev is the better play but it is disrespectful to the young man to not have him in this backrow somewhere. Karl out.
