I dont know what they are thinking and not debating weather sides are stacked or not that's not for me to determine and if they are it must be within the rules.
My point is there must be a better way when teams are drawn Everyone wants a winner
Extra time, first try scorer, penalty count, Rock Paper Scissors who cares where they finished it was 3 weeks ago. And if worst comes to worse maybe it has to be the boat race lol
What a disgrace what a farce what a embarrassment a six placed team beats a first placed team in a semi then gets knocked out of a major semi because the team they drew with finished higher on the competition ladder that will dead set do me. Another case of the lunatics running the asylum.
Was watching the Souths doctor running the sideline for second grade yesterday and then to hear the third grade referee who ran the line for first grade say I better warm up I've been sitting at McDonald's for the last hour.
Totally agree with your comments it was not much better watching the grade games when the ground announcer questioning the touch judges credentials over the loud speaker for all to hear. When a south supporter questioned his unprofessional attitude he turned to us all and said if you don't like...
What a great article in today's tele by RIchard HInds.
"While the NRL, AFL and FFA - worked hard at the grass roots or at least maintain support, rugby sat back in a leather arm chair and smoked a pipe, deluded by the belief it's big end-of-town benefactors and private school constituency...
Besides the dangerous tackles, the high shots and non contested scrums I agree with you. And the after match function and hospitality was one of the best of the year on that note well done Penrith.
Last year souths 2nd colts lost a close game to Uni for a spot in the grand final.
This year the majority of those players have progressed to 1st and are comfortably running second and will get better as injured players return.
How many of those players got an opportunity?
They have been...
A huge advantage Uni have is there 10 fresh reserves available and Souths were hit with a big injury toll forcing 6 starting players from the field.
The seconds backing up only just manage to fill the void.
That was the difference between the 2 teams.
I hope it was only a coincidence at 31-7 the penalties started flowing Unis way.
7 straight in the second half that led to 2 Uni tries the only thing he didn't do was convert the tries.
You don't mind seeing penalties but very inconsistent today.
I must agree although there are players out there who could contribute and be successful at that level. Unfortunately they play for the wrong club, have the wrong post code and attended the wrong school.
