Yes I saw him totally lose his bottle against GT last year. Coach pulled him at half time. Agro a strength as well as a weakness if not channeled properly.

Marist captain I thought was unfit. He is a big unit but not in good enough shape for 70 minutes of Rugby. When he left the field Padua really took it to Marist in the scrum. Result was the right one but no standouts. Padua obviously leaguies as I thought sometimes they didn't understand the...

Padua certainly smoked them in the scrums.

GT has also a new boy. His name escapes me but he is from the Southside. Plays prop. Weighs in close to a 130kg. He has joined the school and is repeating year 10. MY understanding he will feature in the FIrsts this year but no mention of him on this thread?

BSHS program waifer thin. No depth but some of the girls could have really made a difference if you could be bothered to field b and c teams. Some of them were scary looking.

Yes they did. But it would have been a shared premiership with GT. Two good teams.

14a from GT finished the season with a draw. BSHS played magnificently. Number 7 and 13 for GT were fantastic. Without the 13 GT would have been rolled easily IMO.

I think Rugby Program means different things to different people. BSHS has well over three thousand students so saying half are girls is true but a school like GT for example has about 1500 so it's apples for apples. BSHS have poor participation rates in sport and it annoys many that the...

Agree with your comments but your last sentence spoils the essence of your post. A shame really.

Sorry should have included that he is in Gt 14'a side.

Vahu is out centre. Rugby Union background. Certainly devastating.

I wouldn't say GT are into it big time but they are having a little bit more than a dabble. Nothing like BBC and the like. GT no doubt will be much more competitive than they have been in ages. Developing a good rugby program but still a long way to go. My point was a lot of money was shelled...

Sounds like BBC have fallen in a hole. Must be frustrating when you have shelled out big dollars and sitting at the wrong end of the table.

Some observations from GT v IGS game on the weekend. IGS have an enormous forward pack but are hugely unfit. Run them ragged in the first 20 and they struggle to have an impact. The number four is a beast but after twenty minutes GT were playing against seven forwards. Move them laterally and...

BGS are a long way from turning the ship around. They can and will do it but it is years rather than months. I watched their 16A's warm up and they were a solid looking side. When it came to the game they had little to offer so me thinks they need a program to get the best out what they have...
