Certainly a fantastic game with lots of ebbs and flows of momentum. Gold Coast fought well after two quick tries in the second half and certainly didn't give up. White defended well in the last five minutes especially being one down due to injury. How much wil GC have left for WA on Wednesday night?

Wrong. Only one who hasn't played had his fractured hand taken out of a cast Friday. And he was the one who was named to start in the first game and got hurt in warm up.

I heard the GC only beat CQ 19-12 last night at home. I'd be interested to see if they played their perceived weaker team to save them for tomorrow's game, as if have thought they'd have done a lot better than that

Thrilled for them. Missing the game tonight so was looking forward to updates. The boys looked sharp last two sessions and the week off helped.

Full time 13-12 Gold. Imo Ipswich were the better team- set piece was dominant just too much dropped ball and maybe rueing the decisions not to take penalties in the first half. I don't like to say Gold were lucky but they certainly pulled it out of the fire.

0-0 halftime. Ipswich spent a lot of time camped in Gold 22. Gold lucky not have player/s binned for repeated infringements near the try line. Ipswich held up twice and they dropped a few chances too. Gold have the wind in the 2nd half so interesting to see if they can use it.

I'm very very happy with this result. Ipswich definitely have the whip hand in this pool now.

I think you'll find it's the schools themselves actively preventing their boys from trialling. One Brisbane GPS school in particular "asked" it's u15 scholarship boys to withdraw.
