Knox will once again have good depth. As said above the back row may be...
I just think with Woodcock, Cameron and Pavlakis Knox should have one of the dominant back lines. Along with Dawson, Frost, Cutrone who are all in with good chances for higher honors.
I can see Trinity upsetting a few teams, but just lacking some power and strike forwards.
2017 Predictions
1. Knox
2. Waverley
3. Barker
4. Trinity
5. Aloys
6. Cranbrook
Correct me if wrong but Nick Makkas was also at Waverley junior before moving on? Could name a list of players Waverley have unfortunately lost, but maybe the wrong thread.
Your spot on the money about the amount of talent Waverley have lost over the last few years to Scots and the other regulars. Would be a interesting list to see.
All this talk about CAS teams not being competitive with GPS based on recruiting or schoolarships is a bit ignorant. I know for a fact that 4 out of the 6 schools do recruit and this has been seen in the last few years. Not going to name any names.
Exactly my point Ronnie. You put them three 16's back into their right age and the score would have been a blow out. I just can't see CAS schools competing week in week out.
Interesting scores. Funny how that Waverley won the CAS in the 16's but Newington accounted for them pretty easily, yet Newington finished 3rd in GPS. This is the gap that i am concerned about. Anyway i hope that it's a very successful comp and the boys have enjoy it.
I have to say they were pretty impressive against Newington in the pre-season trial. Although going down by a few they matched them and stayed competitive. If my memory strikes me right their 16's weren't bad either. The one problem i see would be depth compared to some of the GPS schools...
