The issue in this thread is whether the punishment handed to Kuridrani fits within the avowed aim of preventing tip tackles. I say that it does and I applaud it. No clue what a poor decision 8 years ago by a citing official - not even a judicial decision - has to do with this thread...
I have a low tolerance for poor quality trolling, sorry. If you are going to troll, at least keep the quality up. Say something original or at least mildly clever.
What has that got to do with the price of fish? It is no kind of point to say that because one decision was wrong we should continue to make wrong decisions.
DON'T LIFT PEOPLE IN THE TACKLE
One day the edict will sink in, but until then people will keep copping big bans. I have no issue at all with this ban. A tip tackle gone wrong is the most dangerous thing in our game, bar nothing and we need to stamp it out. Whilst pros have strong neck and...
This call gets made from time to time, and people always seem confused by it, but the law is pretty well established, and should be understood better by the players and commentators.
If the maul stops once, you can move it forward, but if it stops a second time you have to take the ball out...
Actually, I suspect that the main audience is rugby fans from other countries completely, who may want to watch the game on that particular channel. It's also for NZ fans, but I think the main audience is foreigners.
Anyway, I liked it, though obviously if I were an Australian fan I would be...
Bloody hell there must be something wrong with the S&C over there at the moment. To have 2 young, and presumably fit and keen wingers both having hamstring issues at the same time is a bit of an issue. It might just be coincidence, but then the injury toll for the Wallabies for the last...
All three of the decisions that are in issue in this thread were correctly decided. The only one where there might be an argument was in Beast's shoulder charge which could have gone either way.
I think if one was going to make an argument that the big screen TMO policy isn't working then...
Yes, but with the proviso that you can't be standing in touch, jump up and bat the ball back into the field of play and then land back in touch. That would be ridiculous.
Make it so that provided you had both feet in the Field of Play, you may jump into touch and bat the ball back into play...
I disagree on principle anyway because I don't see why the defending team should get a free 22 metres upfield - much like why we don't allow advantage after a knock on into goal to result in a 22m DO if forced by the defending team. Possibly you could be on stronger ground to say the defensive...
Ugh. I disagree with every aspect of this post.
Advantage is such a fluid and variable thing that is impossible to legislate it with any certainty. Often a team has an advantage even though they are still metres from getting to the advantage line, conversely a team that is beyond the...
