These boys are stronger than you ever were. It is about time you show some respect for the gentlemen in the boats. Now.. enough on Slide Rusher's ego. Great to see many club crews on the water lately. Although JB Sharpe races are nothing to go off, there was plenty of quick crews. It is always...

Interesting to hear about Shore having the better part of the season stuck in the sculls. From prior experience at the St Josephs boat shed sculling was second nature to the boys. There was a notion of having more productive sessions in the eight in comparison to sculling - obviously...

Obviously a very unhappy camper with his subtle jab at Newington & Shore. I would be interested to hear what you have to say about Shore's recent success as the 'making of G&G accounts' was detrimental to a win. Could you please elaborate on you affiliation with GPS Rowing LD.

Just a request - Could we possibly get a poll up for HOTR winner. Similar to last seasons page.

To expand on your point H10, I feel very strongly about crew 'stacking'. It has been a common theme through the 2016 season seen within St Ignatius fours. St ignatius fours supposedly entering 1st IV in the 3rd IV races, further questions the View shed integrity. Speaking to many parents from...

I don't blame the Shore men. Six from six is not something you see every year. I'm sure the beers were flowing.

Another interesting day at Henley Royal Regatta with the boys from Melbourne knocked out by St Pauls.

Maybe you haven't heard of the saying, 'Champion crews beat the best on their worst day'

IV the Win, your childish nature strikes me. As an ex St Josephs rower I find find it disrespectful in the manor in which you refer to Shore. There is a well established mutual level of respect forged between the boys on the racecourse through the season. For you to belittle another school after...

Lacking confidence in anything you do is detrimental to any athlete. It is the sheer confidence in the racing that Shore has that most definitely led them over the line. Look at athletes such as Floyd Mayweather, Jameis Winston, Dalvin Cook, Michael Hooper, Hamish Bond & Eric Murry whom are...

That's interesting to hear, seeing Shore's close affiliation with SRC over the winter. I'm sure JB would be guttered to hear this news. I do question the standard of quality coached at Mosman in comparison to SRC. However, at least the preparation is 'ramping up' as we veer closer to another GPS...

What are everyone's thoughts on the results regarding the boat heading to Rotterdam later this year for the World Juniors. I do have my doubts about the IV consisting of three ex St Josephs and one Sydney Grammer rower. The crew not even making Australian qualifying time. Not expecting any big...

    2017 Schools Rowing

It is very easy to forget how hard these boys are working. Up to thirty hours a week for some of the more dominant schools. It is extremely ignorant for some of the aged members of this page to degrade rowers. P.s. the GPS has it's own golf comp. There is no exemptions... Golf is a sport.

ShoreOB, I completely agree that the SHORE deputy HM has boys that row purely to win races to make sure they are the most dominant rowing school. I don't blame them... It seems to work for them. Although the same could be said for Scotts/Newington rugby program. Newingtonga? Very unethical...

RL, although Shore's absolute annihilation in the Jnr VIII & 1st VIII over the whole country there is much confidence growing across the GPS shed's. The rugby season is quickly coming to a close with only FIVE more competition games to play. My personal view is Scotts return from a rough 2016...

BM you raise some interesting points. I remember as if it was yesterday the golden days of Newington's reign over the GPS in 1993. Some of the most memorable races the GPS competition has witnessed. If my memory serves me correctly, was that the year that Newington introduced sculling into their...
