    QLD GPS Rugby 2017

The video was cheaper than a State High Scholarship, to quote a comment. I feel as if the video had nothing to do with the performance and that every nudgee player left everything on the field, but with a tight five half the size of TSS, they just got outmuscled. Fair play to both teams.

NC lead 15-12 at half time. Parata has missed 2 kicks this season and both of them have happened today. Tight game.

For a line out to form, there must be two people from each team. There was no way it could possibly be a line out, therefore, it is a throw in.

Once again, Nudgee had a few tough calls in the 1st XV, particularly with the 1st try. If you watch the replay, the ball boy gives the ball to the hooker, and then they take a quick line out. This is against the rules as there must be no interference in a quick line out. It's in the rule 19.2 c...

Ethan Robbins actually started in place of an injured Sheppard. The commentators kept calling him Sheppard though. Got a yellow card in the first half. Played ok, but didn't take his opportunity to overtake injured Sheppard and Blackmore to be a first choice winger.

Yeah, Sheppard was injured. He had a very small tear in his hammy from Thursday afternoons training session. Ethan Robbins played on the wing instead. Atkinson played well at fullback; wasn't afraid to run the ball. Other Nudgee stand outs were Joe Small at inside, Tom Forde at Prop and Hayden...

NC vs BSHS trial today ended 72-0 in Nudgee's favour. I know there is daylight between NC & TSS and everyone else, but what does this mean for the quality of Rugby in the GPS this season?

Interesting selection, particularly given that Wood still recovering from injury and Naawi no longer in the Fist XV squad at Nudgee. On that though, a large number of imports coming into the Nudgee first XV, with new flyhalf Reesjan from WA one to look out for in the coming years. He is only in...

Wood, Hunt and Bullemore are sitting out this week to avoid unnecessary injuries before GPS trials next week. Phransis is still niggling a bit of a shoulder injury and is in a similar position to the others. Shepherd just getting into contact, but should be ready for the start of the season.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2017

Coming into the season, I thought that there would realisticslly be a three team battle for the title; Nudgee, TSS and Churchie. But I feel as if Nudgee have dropped out of that race. Every good team has a solid 10 and Nudgee haven't established one. This could be a real danger. While I have...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2017

Just to clear a few things up on the thread, To the best of my knowledge, Tom Jeffries has graduated and will not be returning to play 1st XV next year. Also regarding Nudgee, a cousin of Gavin and Harry Luka is coming to school and is expected to play in the centres. Not sure if this is...
