Awesome to see Josh Kemeny from Cranbrook (2016) doing his school and CAS proud being included in the Wallabies first squad for 2020! Sydney Uni will be gutted that another one of their ring ins will be unavailable come finals in the Shute this year ;)
Another CAS old boy debuting in super rugby last night with Tom Nowlan from Aloys in 2015 and the Randwick rugby club getting some time off the bench for the Rebels against the Brumbies last night.
Things have been wrapped up pretty tight at Aloys this week not much intel to give but I was at the game last weekend and I don't recall any players being injured so I assume it will be the same team this weekend. If they have had any injuries then I am sorry but they are not contenders like...
Agreed re North, though it wouldn't surprise me if he was still one of the fastest players in CAS this season he burned Aloys multiple times last year. I vaguely remember hearing from a Cranbrook associate that he was coming off the bench in some trial games but not sure why, I presume a small...
Got out to my first Aloys 1s game of the season against Pats yesterday. Fair to say the standard of play left a lot to be desired. Spalding (12) is the only remaining player in the backs from last year and unfortunately it looks like the entire team is relying on him for a spark on attack. Weber...

He's been coming off the bench in the tests and starting most midweek games, he's been alright though, workrate is good but he needs to fill out a bit. He's also a great line out option. Unfortunately he is a bit of a penalty magnet but as a prospect he's got a lot of potential in the future
Basically they played a baa baas team from the top 6 rugby schools in Scotland, however all the best players from these schools are in the actual Scotland U19s which they will play on Saturday so there wasn't much of a contest.
Good running rugby was shown by the team, they really are gelling...
With a bit of guess work I think the team was:
1: Angus Bell (C)
2: Billy Pollard
3: Zane Hogan
4: Rory Scott
5: Jeremy Williams
6: Jackson Pugh
7: Carlos Tizziano
8: Will Harris
9: Spencer Jeans
10: Reesjan Pasitoa
11: Dan Ala
12: Joey Walton
13: Angus Bell
14: Villami Lee
15: John Conolly...
He's got all the skill and talent but he needs to harden up. Went missing in a few games but against Trinity when he turned up the team dominated showing he can get the job done.
I believe the Joeys 10 Jude Gibbs who excelled in GPS and for CS at the Schoolboy champs was at Cranbrook up until last year. If they had kept him I would be betting all my money on Cranbrook to win next year. In saying that I can't really think of a standout 10 for CAS this year other than...
There are some quality backs in the comp and even Aloys can get those three to shine they would need a dominant forward pack which at this rate just isn't going to happen with all the players looking fairly small from last year. They could have one of the best attacking backlines in the comp...
Well the school he's from are in a tough situation as both halfbacks (Sidgreaves and Antico) in that Gen Blue U16s 1 team go to Aloys. Antico has been playing 10 all through school and had a few runs there in the 1st XV this year but I wouldn't be surprised if they do make the smart decision and...
