    Springbokke vs Ierland Series

Wowsers! Maybe there is a correlation between Super Rugby and the Tests after all. On the whole, SA teams have been very average, this year specifically and that was one of the worst SA performances I have seen in a long, long time. I respect the 'Boks as our greatest foe, but that...

    2014 Women's Rugby World Cup.

Great write up Bardon! Just wanted to say thanks for going to the trouble to do these -- they've been great. Set the IQ last night and watched all the games back to back this morning (as I've done all tournament). I just wanted to add a little more about the Magali Harvey try as it was really...

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

This Saturday. The best team already won it 12 years ago. It's going to be a cracker -- Waratahs have been great all season, but I think it's unfinished business for the Crusaders. Can't wait! I've got my seats (and then tix in a fortnight for the Bledisloe clash). Lot's of great rugby to come!

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

Nice post. Since we are obviously talking fairytale endings, how about this: Full Time score New South Wales 19 - Crusaders 96 - Daily Telegraph 0 Wait...what? That actually did happen, you say? My bad. May the best team win on Saturday night!

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

Sad that Jane isn't returning -- one of the best finishers in the game. That said, exciting opportunity for Charles and Sam Cane, who will hopefully continue his fantastic form. I'm really looking forward to this match...I think both teams will take the shackles off now that the Championship...

    Gold Coast 7's - 12 & 13 Oct

Looked like a fabulous day on the GC! Crowds were indeed small, but still seemed to have an atmosphere. Good comeback by Australia to win the next two matches after the botched draw with Scotland. Kudos to Canada for an excellent display. Amazing that the All Blacks Sevens didn't even concede...

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

Really looking forward to this game. The Reds haven't won in Christchurch since 1999, and I think that's going to continue this weekend. The 'Saders made a big statement when they handed the Chiefs an absolute thumping a few weeks ago, on the back of that totally dominant forward performance...

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

Congrats to the Lions -- what a wonderful result for rugby and to guarantee the ongoing extended tours. I tipped a 10 point win, since this was the first time we really saw WG's preferred team in the tests, and what a difference it made. Full respect to the Wallabies for fighting back and...

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

Totally agree. Right now, they're just running on emotion. It was pretty clear going into this series that Roberts was going to be first choice centre anyway (as he should be) so really, what is the complaint again? Full respect to BOD -- he's been great, but the Lions should have put this...

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

Roberts is a big game match player, and will step up. I suspect Smith will have less of an impact. But we'll know for sure on Saturday night.

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

In my humble estimation, this is closer to the test team that Gaitland would have picked, barring no injuries (except for Warburton and O'Connell) in the first place. This team has the potential to really get over the gain line, which will put the Wallabies on the back foot. O'Brien isn't just a...

    ABs vs Poms

Just got around to watching the replay since it was exclusive to Santana Sports -- big, big congratulations to England, who smashed us all around the park and on the scoreboard. Full credit to Richie and Steve Hanson for the way they have handled the defeat. The reality is, I was afraid the...

    Australia v England @ Twickers 17 Nov 2012

Clap, clap, clap. Congratulations to the Wallabies..a fantastic effort. Throughly enjoyed the game and the win! Great atmosphere and great occasion, and you managed to wrestle back the Cook Cup. English fans are mourning everywhere this morning, and that tickles me purple :)

    Australia v England @ Twickers 17 Nov 2012

Just wanted to say that I sat up and watched every match of the Spring Tour so far, and Australia hardly fired a shot in the France match, which was very sad to see. While I'm All Black through and through, I support the Wallabies next over any other team, and hope they can put that lose behind...

2012 Australia vs New Zealand - 20 Oct

Was at the game -- firstly, gotta say I just love watching Rugby at Suncorp Stadium! Amazing atmosphere and you are right on top of the field...fantastic. Secondly, that was one of the worst games I've ever had the displeasure in witnessing. An error-ridden mess by both teams. What do I take out...

I think Tim Horan said he'll be available.

2012 Rugby Championship Round 6 Game 2 Argentina vs Australia - 6 Oct

I enjoyed it -- a gutsy win the Wallabies. Congrats! The Pumas gave it their all, and have been fantastic all competition. Sure it was abit messy at times, but it was just one of those scrappy, close tests that you sometimes get when so much is on the line. With the Springbok loss at home and...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 6 Game 1 South Africa vs New Zealand- 6 Oct

Great game! Yes, pedantic refereeing and obvious missed forward passes, but it was a highly entertaining match. Congrats to the All Blacks for scoring the four try bonus point win...a real thumping in the end. Condolences to the Springboks...started on fire and tried their hearts out, and...
