Great response by jogging40! too often do coaches sacrifice the traditions of the school, and the loyalty they should show to the students who give most to the school, in order to save their careers! spot on jogging40. and the comment about the boys enjoying a snag or two after a cold recovery...

My advice to New & Scots – apologise and admit you went too far – agree to follow the current GPS rules OR assist in the creation of a new set of rules which you WILL adhere to - anything else may create long term problems within the GPS. very good post, agree on many points. I personally...

any idea on expected numbers for crowd on Saturday up in cold Armidale? Should be a good match, with King's needing the win, as do TAS. Ive heard that there's an old TAS boy playing prop in the Kings side.

Kings 3rds to beat TAS 1sts by 10 at least. Kings have been looking strong and with their captain Jackson Garrels in fine form, as well as their no.7 Curt Stockl playing well. TAS forwards won't cope and backs don't have as much conviction or class as this Kings side.

exceeds the firsts' games match attendance? I find that hard to believe for 2 reasons.. 1) I'm not sure if TAS even have enough space to host 3000+ people (which is the average) and 2) there will be little to none of the supporters from the visiting side, which should be making up half the...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

It's disgusting.. a blatant lack of respect for the opposition and for the officials and in my opinion, Riverview need to take action against him. There is always going to be little fights and niggles on the field, but when it leads to a headbutt as ferocious as this, someone needs to report...

McCalman lives in a small town called Cummock which is 5 hours from Sydney. He's got a few thousand acres there. If that's not country then I don't know what is. He hasn't played for a country rep side during his secondary schooling as he's been at kings since he was 12. I think the City v...

10, 13, 14, 15 from shore? not quite sure if serious.. and the forward pack, with the omission of McCalman for Cooke, seeing as McCalman played a year at 6 in 2012..I'd nearly relate that to the omission of O'Driscoll.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

A few big names left out which I, and I'm sure many other people, am surprised about. 1. Sam Mete - strong runner and lightning quick, many people thought a shoe in for GPS 1st XV. To not make any side is a big disappointment for him. 2. Rory Davis - I would have said that he is the best...

Scots or New. Both sides have a great backline with some big names. Sides like Joeys, Kings and View lack depth in either the forwards or the backs, so good luck to them when they face these 2 teams.

Yes I agree, and he has a very good 'rugby brain,' reads the game well. If I heard right, and correct me if I'm wrong CTPE, but the King's 1sts is as follows: 1. James King 2. Jono Burke 3. Lucas Bateman 4. George Lehman 5. Ben Stacy 6. Sam Connor 7. Jack McCalman 8. David Ballintyne 9. Rory...

Yes, I've heard some good thing's about him. I remember watching Ben Stacy (Kings) both at the NSW U16 Aus Champs where he was No.5 for NSW Schools and last year for the King's 2nd XV, and he has some real potential to go places in the representative world. Comments? And anything on O'Brian...

Boys who have history at the different GPS schools, whether it be 1 generation or 6, should not even be considered to be an 'import' if I must put it like that. The amount of history that every one of these schools has is immense, and it's not uncommon for country boarders to have previous...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

There are many boys from all GPS schools who may come late, who have still had family at the school previously. Sandell from Joey's had an older brother who went through, yet Matt started late. Stacy from King's is 6th generation, on both his father and mothers side. Burke from King's did have a...
