High defeat Grammar 3-0 in Firsts
Grammar defeat High in Seconds

Topic is "That we should offer incentives to producers who promote or create roles for minorities", Frustratingly aff-weighted. Another poor topic in GPS
Agree that's a tough topic to negate

High notches up more wins defeating Riverview in firsts and seconds. Apparently GPS rep debater David Wu gave the speech of the season.

Topic: "That we should regret the rise of minor parties in Australian politics."

News hot off the press v2. GPS 2nds leak: Underdog Patrick Idiare from TKS has been given the call up. Contrary to last Friday's debate topic, there is no regret about the rise in this (racial) minority's road to debating prestige. Unlike his football pursuits, when plunged into the bloodthirsty and cutthroat sport that is 1sts Debating, injury did not riddle Patrick this season, affirmed by his selection in such a team. Considered the bastion of excellence amongst his 3U math cohort it comes to no surprise that this man has cemented his position at such a high academic level of master(debating). Considered by his peers as the next Stratton.
Other members are insignificant given the fact that Patrick's overwhelming presence dwarves all.

1) P Idiare
2) Pat Idiare
3) P D Idiare
4) D Yim

It is very interesting to see a member from TKS chosen for GPS reps. That is considering how under the leadership of Capt. Matty J (not to be confused with the Bachelor star 2017, although very similar aesthetics) they have only achieved a more to be desired 1-4 record. Perhaps with the newly validated GPS member on their side fortunes are about to take a turn for the better?

Personally I don't see this as a surprise. I've heard promising things about Mr Idiare spoken amongst the GPS selectors for months as they anticipated when he was to return from his break from debating. It's fantastic to see the young talent finally get the call-up he has more than deserved for years now, especially following on from his recent success in being selected for the AAGPS Football 1stXI.

Bizarrely incestuous Parramatta chat aside, the actual GPS teams are:
1sts
Daniel Yim (Grammar)
Charlie Hoffman (St Ignatius)
Joe Bonic (Scots)
Matthew Toomey (St Joseph’s)

2nds
Ben Zhang (Kings)
Louis Saunders (SBHS)
Tom Hodgson (Scots)
Jarrah Lindhout (Newington)

3rds
Wyatt Batt (Grammar)
Lachie Muir (Shore)
Jesse Gray (St Ignatius)
Tom Ryan (St Joseph’s)

Some.........interesting decisions it could be said.
