I was unaware the Villa participate in Confro as they are not apart of the Christian Brothers Fraternity but are from the Augustinians. They do have a year competition against St Augustines from Sydney? So the excuse that Torpy had Confro cannot be true. Perhaps he was not selected because there were better players ?

I don't know the details of Confra so you may be right. But he was definitely selected. Maybe the St Augustines fixture was the reason he was absent.

Have they played already? If so how did they go against GPS 1?

Lost to GPS 1 54-7
Lost to CSS 29-10

Only three boys made QLD. Clifton Setu (SEC) #15 for QLD I, Daniel Byrne (ASH) #19 for QLD I and Brock McNulty (SEC) #22 for QLD II.

An additional two boys made the Combined States side. Regan Glynn (SPC) #13 and Tom O'Toole (PAD) #18.

Last time I checked Confraternity Shield was run by the Queensland Independent Schools Rugby League, hence why Padua and Iona have both played in it. Padua is Franciscan and Iona I believe is Oblate.
