Aren't there rules in Aus regarding tests in any sports being shown on FTA, so will see them on 9/Stan. RA would of have it tied into touring agreement.

Overseas tests don't have to be on FTA if no one buys them.

I think BJ is mostly talking about the tests not involving the Wallabies though. It seems like all the Wallabies tests will be on 9/Stan.

It's the anti-siphoning laws but this only applies to certain sporting events that are hosted in Australia such as NRL/AFL GF, State of Origin, Melbourne Cup, Bathurst 1000.

The Autumn Internationals rights went to Amazon in the UK/Ireland but it sounds like Stan might have something lined up.

Anyone have issues with the quality of the game, I watched with a delay and the quality was pretty poor until after the live full time siren. I wonder if live viewers turned off and the stream had more bandwidth?

Lot of people complaining about the lack of FTA coverage on social media for the Wallabies.

How short the memories are. Miss one Spring tour and suddenly everyone is up in arms about paying Stan less than they'd park on their annual elbow patch repairs.

Totally agree. It always irks me when so-called rugby people scurry around trying to avoid paying a few bucks to watch their national team play.

Fairfax reporting on the weekend that APL (new body in charge of the aleague). AnyWho Fairfax report that APL is close to selling a 30% stake in APL for 130 million.

The group being sold to specialise in under valued assets and building content.

Fairfax reported almost all the 130 m wold go towards building for want of a better word media centre.

Huge risk but the belief is they can produce and control content and on sell.

Rugby also has international markets and Australia rugby my guess is worth more than Australian soccer.

This if it comes to past will be very interesting to see the outcome.

Massive gamble by them.

Imperial Hotel in Paddington is advertising the Japan Test on their Insta, so maybe Stan is now in pubs

Do you know if it was shown?

Local pub in Brisbane I attended wasn't able to stream the game for us, and they are known for showing rugby.

That is a massive gamble indeed. The article doesn't state what Silver Lake get for their money, but if it's like the NZRU deal, they'll take 30% of the A-League revenue - that's a huge chunk of money disappearing every year. Good luck earning it back.

I meant to say, watching the US/AB test on Sunday certainly makes you appreciate how well our cameramen etc are in doing rugby in this part of world.
