Ireland v Wallabies, Saturday 15/11 (Sunday morning Aus time)

No you’re right, not having O’Connor join the squad last week and calling him into the squad on Tuesday to start a game on Saturday is all part of the master plan

It likely was part of a plan as he selected a flyhalf that probably would’ve started again if not for injury…

So, it seems in the eyes of a few (one? Jury is out) he’s doomed either way.

The reason for selecting two tens was precisely because JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) was available to be called on after England…
So why wasn’t he brought in after England and not 4 days before starting a test, or been in conversation with Jo until very recently

Happy with the team picked

- Hooper in second row and Valetini starting
- Tizzano on bench
- JOC (James O'Connor) starting
- Jorgo at FB and Kellaway to bench

all seem like positive moves

It’s a small second row. I would have had Frost and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) with Williams off the bench. He has played his best footy from there this year. I guess he needed to squeeze both Hooper and Valetini in to start?

As an aside, I feel our best 10 combination right now is CG and JOC (James O'Connor). JOC (James O'Connor) is looking good and playing the best flyhalf footy of his career. He can easily make it through to the RWC. Start with CG when fit and let Rabs finish the game off. 3rd 10 in the squad should be Lynagh.
