Good luck to all boys in the GPS teams.
Those in the Second, Blue and White teams should take heart from their selection.
Found last years programme.
Fred Tricks from GPS 2 made it into NSW 1 and then the Australian Barbarians team from strong performances in trials.

In addition to this, Albert, Connolly and Creagh all played for the Schoolboys and Australia U18 on the UK Tour.

Good afternoon all. Apologies for the non-rugby talk for one minute. Many of you seem to post a lot - is there an app that makes this easier rather than having to use a web-browser? Thanks in advance!

Can anyone sum up Shore VS Joeys in without bias.

TDO.

Sure thing.

Joeys went for a walk in the park, came across some free meat pies. Somewhere in the vicinity of 12 or so.

Just kidding, wasn't there but my observations of the Joeys side so far has been they play around a really strong defensive foundation, and then are able to strike in attack when the opposing team isn't expecting it, either through counter attack or second half fatigue.

However, this game shows that even with this tireless defence, they still can put the points on the board. It's very easy to be a better rugby side without converting it into tries, and I think Joeys have demonstrated that not only can they defend out the big long phase attacking onslaughts, they can also pile on the points too.

They seem to be the real deal, only chink (reading reports) might be the defence around the ruck with the pick and go?? Otherwise, a classy, well-drilled outfit.

Tapatalk used to work quite well. Then it stopped and no one could sign in.

I belive the good people in the back office at G&G were working on a fix. I just learnt to put up with chrome.

There is a thread G&G Broke, for discussion on such issues

Can confirm wristman ,Scots try in corner was definately a try ball placed down while both legs in the air, should be no complaints.
Interestingly Scots have 3 players in the u16s pres team I’m sure they would of preferred gps1s or 2s, which I’m sure they would of made , Connolly from kings was selected in gps 1s while u16 so not sure why these boys not selected as certainly good enough.
Either way gps1s will give cas1’s a touch up 20+ my opinion . Just have to look at difference between Scots v Knox this year and to be truthful Scots only started playing in second half and won by 30+.

Some shaky game footage [shivering with cold] of Scots v Riverview. Viewing time 42mins
Should be in HDef now

Thanks Steppa. Might be able to sneak a peek today during lunch. Much appreciated.
Well done braving the cold. Hope the BBQ was up to scratch.

Great footage Sidesteppa.

Crazy season in both CAS and GPS competitions. Pardon my ignorance (I'm a little removed from the schools rugby scene these days) but could someone provide a draw for next term's matches? Very excited to see how it plays out. So far I believe the ladder looks like this.

1. Joeys/Scots - 2W
3. Newington, View, Kings - 1W, 1L
6. Shore - 2L

Despite their big win over Kings last weekend, I'm again unsure of what to think of Riverview. Every week has a cracker of a game, but I believe View could be the only team able to beat Joeys. If so, I can see a joint premiership between those two. But hard to discount Newington after they thumped Kings, and Scots after they thumped (a weak) New in preseason! Anything could happen.

Who knows lads, who bloody knows.

The ladder is:

Scots and Joeys in equal first with two wins
Riverview, New next with 1win, 1 loss
Kings and Shore next with 2 losses.

The defining games should be Joeys V Riverview in Rd 3 and Joeys V Scots in Rd 5. If the two unbeaten sides continue to win then the upsets could come from: Scots V Kings (Rd3), Kings V Joeys and New V Scots (both Rd 4).

Without a couple of superstars in the backline Kings seem to have really struggled - that could of course be very different if those players return for what is essentially the second half of the competition.
