The Kings School

At Kings he played two seasons in both the 1st XI and the 1st XV. White also represented Combined GPS in each sport.
He was a member of the 1951 AAGPS rugby premiership winning team.

Saxon White was a stylish centre who was one of the first choice midfielders in the mid-to-late 1950s however his career was blighted by injury. White had great handling skills and was a beautifully balanced runner with the ball in hand. He had the rare ability to beat his opposing number both on the inside and on the outside. He was also a very unselfish player who set up his outside backs with many scoring opportunities.
He became the first Professor of Cardiology at Newcastle Uni. Above expectations for a small semi-rural school in those days.

I know it’s a rugby forum but anyone got a predicted podium for tomorrows regatta out at sirc? Shores drought could be coming to an end..

Interesting to see the results from the first regatta as always. Fairly predictable top two placements, but interesting to see SJC achieve a 3rd given their 7th place in 2025 and lack of stand out result in the Yr10 VIIIs.

Interesting to see SGS ahead of NC and TSC too. Looks like Grammar's program is attempting a revival with a 5th place finish in 2024, and a 6:01 in 2025 - contrary to the years and years of 7th place finishes.

The season long battle of SIC vs SHORE will no doubt be entertaining, with SJC and TKS in the mix too.
