Are any premier rugby teams doing preseason trials out at Roma/Dalby like in seasons past?

think it’s usually brothers who head out there.

GPS officially released the coaching line-up yesterday - pretty much as expected with Shane still runing the show.

Interesting that Kelevi has gone back to Reggies assistant under Gabbett. Regardless of what people's opinion about his coaching is, I imagine there would have been an assistant role with a 1st grade team somewhere in clubland.

Before Mick Heenans UQ I would say the decade of 2000s-2011 the dragons might have been the strongest club in QPR.

Sunnybank juniors/seniors programs from 2005-2015ish had a decent chunk of blokes who went on to play Super Rugby for a number of years.

I know I'll be missing some key ones but Ben Tapuai, Jake Schatz, Richard Kingi, Digby Ioane, Liam Gill, Rob Simmons and Jake McIntyre standout in my mind as having played a significant number of games for Sunnybank and they won three premierships during that period.

brothers should of entered a rugby 7s team in the QPR sevens circuit.. no idea why they didn’t?

the last game of rugby Werchon played was for south’s sevens rugby team at Noosa

I remember doing a lower grade preseason trip with Wests down to Iluka back in 2000. Very loose and long bus trip back the following day.

Meeno and Kelevi go a long way back and no doubt he wouldn’t be doing Reggie’s assistant if there wasn’t a bigger picture in mind. Shane did always say he was going to come back for 2 seasons tops (I hope it’s much longer though).

I’m told he was offered 1st grade assistant at norths, which he was initially happy to do. He was under the assumption, like almost everyone else, that there’d be a different head coach there which there isn’t; sadly it’s cost them players and a coach. I played with Kelevi, so I’m obviously biased, but I think you’d rather have him than not.

Oh really. Who's left? I wouldn't have thought there's too many at Norths that would be chased by other clubs.

Ruck n Maul has a history of coming on here & rocking the boat when it comes to the Norths coaching setup…. You should take a look at the quoted post below and the boldest parts to read between the lines.
