Thought it was a good game.

Stars were much much better than last season. Gus Roberts controlled the game well, influence of one Dan Parks was obvious.

Circumstances of his return to Australia have been good for them.

Yes was at the game.....super rugby talent in forwards shone through for the stars Latu, Hansen and Dennis were immense- but to Rays credit they hung in there despite not having same super rugby talent on offer....made some very nice breaks....defence in backs for Stars a bit ordinary whilst Stars mainly found way through with their power forwards to provide lot of go forward.

All in all good game and yes stars will improve but teams like Brisbane City and Rising with their backs will be in danger of running rampant on todays display from Stars backs...
